I just am wondering how to raise my main hand damage with my rouge archer. My bow does 244DPS, with only 166 damage. Cassandra does 305 with her two handed weapon. Is there anyways to get my main/off hand damage to catch up with hers? Or is that just the life of a dps tempest archer? Lol. Any help is appreciated. Also, is it worth getting the game of the year edition with its dlc??
Also, I damage very easily. I put fade silverite on my armor and bow/daggers and my guard goes down quickly still. Even by lvl 15 enemies, and I am lvl 22
. Anyway to live longer and have health last? Thanks again everyone.

Mash buttons. It actually works in 99 percent of the fights in this game. Play it like Tekken.

Huh? Mashing buttons doesn't increase your DPS last time I checked.

I made Blackwall my tank, and Cassandra a DPS, while I'm a tempest rougue DPS. I just want to do more damage than her lol. Any tips for soloing as an archer??
I've never played rogue, but I built Varric, Sera and Cole for criticals. By crafting the right weapons, armour and mods you can get Critical Chance up to 100%, use Great Bear Hide in Leather Utility slots and add Cunning to their gear (every two points of Cunning raise critical chance by 1%). After that focus on raising critical damage%.

I think so but it depends on what you like. The first of the two downloadable content are a bit different than the base game as Bioware seems to have been experimenting with implementing feedback but I think what they tried were for the better. Trespasser is the culmination of this feedback, I think.
The Jaws of Hakkon DLC takes place in the Frostback Basin and features new aspects of the culture connected to the Avaar and the lore of other things such as the leader of the previous Inquisitor. I personally loved it because I liked the exploration of Avaar culture and the new lore.
The Descent DLC takes place in the Deep Roads so if you are not interested in that setting your enjoyment may be impacted by that. It does feature some new aspects of the lore connected to the dwarves. Personally, I have little interest in the Deep Roads so I liked but didn't love it. That's not to say it was bad, merely that the setting made it less my thing. I still found it fun.
The Trespasser DLC takes place after a time skip of two years and- It's difficult to say much about it because I think this is the DLC you should play without having seen any spoilers. I loved this DLC. It is not universally loved as there are some who dislike it but there are people who loved the base game and people who hated the base game that both love this DLC so there's a strong chance that you'll enjoy this DLC regardless of how you felt about the base game. It should be noted that unlike the Jaws of Hakkon DLC and the Descent DLC, the Trespasser DLC expands upon the ending and so you cannot returned to it after completion and you cannot leave the areas to return to Skyhold.

You need Trespasser. Don't want to say too much, because of spoilers, but it's an epilogue of sorts. A lot of people who don't like the main game, say this saved the entire thing for them. I definitely think it's the best piece of content Bioware has produced. Don't look up anything about it though if you care about spoilers, because you will spoil some gigantic plot twists from the main game.
The other two are more optional. They are additional areas you can play during the main game, so buy them if you want more of that. I didn't expect to like them, but ended up enjoying them both. They both contain some interesting new twists on the Dragon Age lore.

Nah, that spot goes to ME3:Citadel, I'd say. But this one's close, and they're quite similar in that they both give great farewells to their respective stories.I definitely think it's the best piece of content Bioware has produced.

Thank you all for the detailed info! I really appreciate it! I just bought the game of the year edition last night! I loved DA so much I had to buy the GoTY lol. Yet to start any dlc though! Any recommendations on what dlc to start first?
I know the Jaws of Hakkon DLC references what you've done throughout the main story even if you've yet to complete it so I'll suggest playing through the main story a deal or entirely to experience that because it is neat.
The Descent DLC may make the most sense to play before the completion of the game since I think it makes the most sense given why the Inquisitor is called in.
I had completed the base game by the time the DLC came out so perhaps someone else can pitch in terms of armor and level recommendations.

Because of the difficulty spike I kind of feel all dlcs fit best post game, and played in the order they were released. There are some RP-reasons to start the Descent before the endgame though.

New to the dragon age huh?
Rule #1: read everything, try to learn the lore, the various kingdoms, lands, myths, ELVEN lore, read the various locations ou put your inquisition flag into. there is a ton of depth in the lore.
Rule #2: make the combat feel challenging to the appropriate level of difficulty, try friendly fire, try upping the difficulty in order to make it challenging enough but not punishing.
Rule #3 :change your party composition once and while, do not stick with the same party all the time. The entire cast is worth it , INVEST time in them.
you ll have different favorite characters especially in other playthroughs
RULE #4: BUY TRESPASSER DLC optional: Buy descent and or Jaws of hakkon DLC

New to Dragon Age?
1) Start at DA:O.
2) Watch your fascination with the franchise diminish as you progress from game to game.
3) Move on to something better.

What Schematics did you craft the weapons for Cass and yourself from?
What materials?
And lastly, what is their name and where did you find them if you did not craft them yourself?

Now what is a good bow load out with the tempest ability? I've been using daggers for a while, but I want a good DPS bow load out. Any ideas?
