What're your favourite shows/recommendations? Figure I can't get away with this in ME3MP, but it sorta fits in here anyways given the premise.

I've been addicted to Adventure Time for the past year. Can never get enough of that show. I also like sketch comedy shows like Mr. Show and The State. Metalacolypse, Home Movies, South Park, M.A.S.H., X-Files, Twin Peaks. I recently watched the Making a Murderer documentary series on my brother's Netflix account. That was really good.

Making a murderer was awesome... highly recommend.

Also Dark Net on Netflix is something different and enjoyable.

"We bare bears" is cute,

An old show i watched was "Dexter"...not the animated series, the other...more dark show

"Bob's burgers" is a fun light hearted show with clever adult humor. jon Benjamin is hilarious, i love "archer" too

I'm completely behind you on MST3K, Pat, and am very excited that the next season just got Kickstarted.  I owe so much of my sense of humor to those damn robots and goofy hosts.

There's a lot of good TV out there.

Steven Universe ('natch)

Adventure Time

Gravity Falls (finale in just a few days)

Breaking Bad

Rick and Morty

Bob's Burgers

The Walking Dead (usually)

Game of Thrones

Mystery Science Theater 3000

Cowboy Bebop

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

King of the Hill (maybe just because I'm Texan)

classic The Simpsons

Futurama

Arrested Development

Firefly

Community

Orange is the New Black

Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra

South Park

Daredevil
Jessica Jones

and LOST (yeah, I was super into that show from beginning to end.  I don't care what anyone says)

I was practically raised on MST3K. Whenever I'm around my family we all just talk to each other by quoting random lines from those movies. We're really dumb, I know.

As far as the new season I'm a bit skeptical because I was really hoping everyone (including Joel) would actually be back to do it. I'm unfamiliar with the new cast, mostly the host and the guys doing Crow and Tom. People seem really excited about it though, especially after Felica Dey and Patton Oswalt got cast. It's one of those things I'll definitely watch and see for myself.

Sense8 and Mr. Robot are the two best shows I've seen in the past year fyi. (Jessica Jones is pretty good too)

Rewatching all of my Metalocolypse dvds. Such hilarious violence in every episode. So many references to metal bands and guest voices from metal artists too which makes it even more fun to watch (if you're a metal fan that is.)

I watch shows online, and some are old but good:

- Firefly

- Game of Thrones

and if you liked Orange is the new black, you could check out an australian one of women's prison:

- Wentworth  (now started on season 4), much grittier, makes Otbl look like a Disney show.. ;)

- Deadwood

- The Originals (vampires, less teenagery pining after hotties than the Vamp diaries mush)

- All Attenborough documentaries

- Death Note (manga with a darker theme)

- Scrubs (the lighter side of hospital with legendary Dr. Cox rants)

- Gilmore Girls (yeah yeah I've watched some girlier shows, too)

Hodor.

Also, I like Ian Mcshane.

- Death Note (manga with a darker theme)

Never seen it, might someday watch it.

Ever watched Code Geass? Something an old aussy buddy showed me that I believe is (vaguely) similar and wonderfully done.

Indeed, Firefly.. *sniffle*

Ah yes, Code Geass - what is this, some aussie thing? :D I sort of was bored/annoyed by it, but Arkhne has watched it. I don't watch a lot of manga/anime, but really liked Death Note, and some of the more famous films.

Death Note is actually much, much darker, and I found it intriguing because of that. Certainly worth checking out, it has weird stuff in it like the shimigami (no wonder I liked it).

Also forgot from my list:

- Constantine - as the tv series, just 1 season. Much better than the movie, funnier and much darker (I see a pattern here...)

- Twin Peaks was interesting when I was a teenager.. went odd towards  the end, but I liked the early seasons. I still quote at opportunte times "Without chemicals, (s)he points" occasionally. Or "New shoes!" :D

Twin Peaks........yes.  :D

Season two got lame though but mainly because David Lynch left the show after Laura's murder was solved (which Lynch originally didn't want solved but the network pushed him for it.) Several episodes got stale and even plain stupid (the one that Diane Keaton directed is probably the worst episode) but things got better near the end with the Windym Earl/black lodge story. Lynch eventually came back and directed the very last episode which was AWESOME!!! GRRRRAAAAAAAAGH!! FIRE WALK WITH VORCHA!!!!

I'm in the same boat. Only ever watched that and, er, Appleseed. Oh and the Robotech movie so long ago I don't know if I can claim I watched it anymore.

Killjoys is a fun one as well. Very entertaining sci fi. Canadian/British made. Not a super high budget, but not bad either. It's definitely not cerebral like Black Mirror or Mr. Robot, but funny. Similar to Firefly in the "grunge sci-fi" atmosphere. (Fancy is probably my favourite character. Next would be the bartender.)

Damn, I'm outta likes again guys (I blame that picture thread!!) but I'll definitely check out those latest ones you both suggested. Always great to find good or funny scifi... yeah I'm a nerd ;)  And oftentimes, the ones done on less budgets are more entertaining. I've seene nough green screens.

After watching Deadpool just a week ago, which was awesome, btw, I saw another movie I had not heard of: He never died.

https://www.rottento.../he_never_died/

This guy is the polar opposite of Deadpool when it comes to motormouthing, but I found this movie pretty cool (lead by Henry Rollins, the old punk rock musician and author).

If going to watch it, read the short synopsis, but don't go reading anything on wiki or other places that provide too many spoilers, it's better watched so that it lets itself unravel slowly. A bit gory and a bit dark, but intriguing and different.

Also considering watching the new series Preacher - anyone seen it yet?

I just finished all episodes of Stranger Things on Netflix the other day. Show was so good. I love the old eighties sic-fi, thriller, horror vibe it gave and the music was really cool too. Very mass effect actually. I hope they make more because there were quite a few cliffhangers at the end. The first episode takes place on November 10 1983 which is six days before I was born. Thought that was kind of funny. Anyway, cool show if no one hasn't seen it yet.

I haven't, I'll definitely take a look! And yes 1983 sounds like a familiar date lol. (Cept mine's in April)

I don't actually like 80's sci fi though. (I don't like most things from the 80 lol)

I'll give it a whirl though. Just finished Babylon 5 (90's :P ) and the latest episodes of Mr Robot and Killjoys.

Although the druidic claws of feral doom are clenched tight around me. :D (I freaking love feral druids in WoW. Sooo much fun when you get flying.)
