Since he does not know the Inquisitor, he is most probably helping Solas to fend off the Quanari?

I wish Sandal had been in Inquisition. I quite missed him hanging around at the headquarters and giving out enchantments.

 

That and he was way cooler than Dagna.

Enchantment!  I saw him in DA:O as a dimwitted mage that hadn't come into his full magic power. Yes,he's a dwarf but,still I thought something wasn't quite right.

 

I would prefer Dagna over Sandal.

Sandal is definitely something. Until now I had not thought about it but who knows maybe you have a point. Maybe the thing he does is similar to Solas' power..? So that would make him what exactly though..? Solas isn't a god, he himself says the Evanuris were false gods and just powerful mages.. Anyway we know that Mythal did something to the dwarves (she "banished their sun" or something like that). Maybe Sandal is a survivor of ancient dwarves and was taken under protection by either Mythal or Solas (or both?) and he could not be in the game because he is busy doing what the Dread Wolf told him to do? (also because it would be awkward AF to have Sandal in Skyhold when you also have Solas there ).

I don't think so, I believe that Sandal is another being, entirely.

 

I do find it strange that Sandal was not included as the Artificier (Dagna is great) but since Celene (or whoever the ruler or Orlais) give you Morrighan I would think Sandal would've been given, as well

Why isn't he and Bodahn in game? Bodahn literally says to Hawke, that Empress Celene is interested in his boy's skills.

Celene may have been interested in him but then came the civil war and I doubt Bodahn wanted to get involved in that.   Also he may have been worried about the Venatori getting their hands on him so they went into hiding.

 

I think Sandal has some sort of connection with the Titans.   He is absent from DAI because he has been off elsewhere doing something.   According to his diary something to do with Enchantment.  No doubt we shall find out in the future.    He is one of the most enigmatic and deceptive characters in the game.   His ability to wipe out hordes of darkspawn and turn an ogre into crystal on his own makes Solas' petrification trick look quite tame by comparison.   Flemeth was interested in him; he says about a scary lady watching him sleep in DA2 that definitely sounds like Flemeth.     We definitely haven't seen the last of him but I very much doubt he is Solas' agent; more likely he has been keeping watch on him.    May be he will be able to point us in the right direction for stopping the Dread Wolf's plans.

I think that his biological parents could be Sha-Brytol, Bodham found him near to a wall with pictures of many strange creatures.

Sandal is actually Solas' true love. That's why he leaves Lavellan at the end of Trespasser. He goes to rejoin his one and true love - Enchantment !

Oh, I did have a right and good laugh at that. Then I stopped, considered, and decided it's darn likely he will be the antagonist. Sandal as the big bad would be absolutely glorious. No one would see it coming. Just imagine the boss fight!        Then again, maybe Sandal is just hosting one of Mythals' horcrux thinggies. Elfy spirit magic+dwarf=Enchantment!

I don't think so. Sure he's a dwarf getting into magical explosives but I doubt he's to off qunari. Sure his caretaker/adopted father doesn't know his origins but I doubt it's because of just the qunari. Seriously he killed darkspawn in DAO and DA 2. If he was a agent for Solas why would he be helping Hawke and the Warden hero/heroine out? Also shouldn't of Sten told your warden hero/heroine that he knew of Sandal? I maxed out my friendship with Sten in DAO and he still didn't ever tell me anything about how Sandal could be a elven agent. I think he may of said something about his "enchantments" or something but that's pertaining to his enchantments. There is a run on gag of Sandal and his enchantments where the enemies of Sandal get "boomed" by Sandal if they F with him. Lol. No it's not "elven summoning" but explosive of various elements like blast, fire and ice. If it was "summoning elves" shouldn't of Sandal said something like "pointy friends helped" and not just "BOOM!" or "ENCHANTMENT!"? On the subject I don't recall Solas saying "Enchantment" either.
