Ok so I chose Dorian as a LI this time around since everyone says his romance is amazing. Well, I've done all his personal quests, kissed him after meeting his dad, did his romance quest and chose to commit with him in the bedroom scene.

 

But after thinking about it, I'm just not really feeling his romance. It just doesn't suit my Qunari inquisitor, it just feels...weird and out of place.

 

I had the option to break up with him, so I did. He was fine about it. When I talk to him, it gives me the option to start a romance again.

 

I want to romance Cassandra instead. I'm about to embark on her personal quest, but since I was going to romance Dorian, I have only flirted with her the only 2 times I could in Skyhold during conversation. Haven't flirted with her at all before last night. Will this be enough? Will I be able to romance her or will the game still think I'm with Dorian? Plus, I'm not sure if it matters, but I've completed WEAWH and danced with Dorian at the end. I haven't done HLTA yet. Is it too late to start a new romance?

 

I still have Dorian's romance tarot card despite me ending the relationship. Does that mean anything?

Yeah, I somehow ended up in a relationship with iron bull by accident and didn't realize it until we ended up doing it which was a surprise for me due to the amount of moves I was putting on Cassandra. As an male elven mage I do not partake in the man meat, so I basically told bull to hit the road and then got with Cassandra and made sweet sweet love after a small fetch quest to woo her.

But did you 'lock in' the romance? As in, give Bull the dragon tooth necklace? I think you can still persue other people if you don't lock in one romance. 

 

Anyway, I'm going to reload a save, just to be sure. I'm reloading a save before I did Dorian's gift quest. Should I break it off with him before the quest and ignore it entirely or do the quest and break it off with him in the bedroom scene? Does it matter?

You can dump everyone and then romance another person, but you are going to lose a lot of content, is not the same if you romance them after Halamshiral.

Yeah I ended up reloading a save, but it was after WEAWH so I didn't get to dance with Cass. But that's ok, this is the 3rd time I've romanced her so I've seen it before.

Yes you can. I know I did it. I completed all of Dorian's quests and decided to try talking to Cassandra. I was surprised I could still flirt with her and it still went through the romance.

I guess you need enough approval and flirt option throughout? I tried bull, but there was no flirt option.
