I still remember when BW would say that the next ME was going to be from very different perspective. I wanted to be a pirate.
Like Guybrush Threepwood! *-*

That's completely absurd, I don't think I sound like Einstein.
I'm more of a Tesla, imo.
"Dear John" letters can be added for more realism, showing how unfaithful civilians are

Respect!

I just seem crazy because people don't understand half the stuff I'm going on about on account of my being brilliant.
That's why I'm Tesla =P

Seriously, are you AutumnRose?
Bunz had this alt in his garage, it collected dust, some say it's older than angrygrandpa!
Bunz or whoever you are, The terran federation doesn't exist op, you don't need to stretch your military peen...
Relevant:
And this:
I agree with you to an extent op, but shepards ship is not a ordinary military vessel, shepard is allowed to do what they want, since they are a spectre they can be reckless and having disgusting children running around. I have to admit op, you have a quad, waltzing in here 2 years later from hibernation and you are ready to start up a radical discussion.
The Mass Effect series has been too militarized already.
If you are looking for a SciFi CoD there is Halo 5, Crysis 1-3, the Killzone games and the last two CoD's are too futuristic already.
If Bioware wises up then ME:A will be something like Firefly with only a few soldier types and mostly other colorful characters making up the crew.

I don't think this is the same one.
This one comes off a bit whiney and it's really reaching at times to places that are more like "cmon now" than they are funny. The others didn't have that.
It was likely an ex-soldier
The amount of soft in this thread is too much. Couldn't you all have called your mothers to spout your "I'm important" campaign?

You saying i'm not important?
And here I am, wanting nothing more than a group of crazy people with no bundaries who actually run away from military-related stuff... Yep, give me the Mass Effect Serenity!

I'm not sure what language this is, but it sure as hell doesn't make any sense in English.

I'm actually the most amazing person in the world. Probably in the whole galaxy.
but if I'm being honest, you gotta step up your troll game. This whole "overly pro military" troll persona is kind of boring.
Do you really want for Mass Effect to be like this? I'm sure they already have multinational troops in the Alliance military.
Military themes or not, no game should ever strive to be like Medal of Honor: Doorfighter.
Medal of Honor: Doorfighter.
Thank you for reminding me of this...
It's funny (the song not the game) but I don't want ME to be anything like this
I don't want to be the Captain of the Loveboat again. All ship personel under my charge better be within regulations, no exceptions, favorites, or questions. Instead of talking about emotional crybaby bs, can the game be like the actual military where members brag about PT scores, rifle/pistol range scores, and tactics?
LMAO, really? Really? Don't act like most soldiers actually give a **** about those things...
What I am asking for is less worthless petty drama, and more strategizing with alien allies on combat tactics. Instead of talking with Tali about how she has a crush on the CMDR, gaming assets could be allocated to running a joint mission with a turian infiltration team or a krogan breach and clear. Seeing how these species military tactics differ from our own. I'm not expecting any of you to understand as you would rather get to the aliens reproductive organs than understanding their culture.
The military tactics of Alien races are an aspect of their culture not it's full totality...and in truth a lot of that information was in the codex, detailing Turian Military tactics, how the Salarians fight etc.
Going back to ME 1, you actually DID work with a Salarian strike team, figuring out how to assault a base. In Mass Effect Two you had characters like Mordin whose mission dealt with the Krogan Genophage...and since you're trying to prep the galaxy for war against the Reapers assisting in that mission makes military sense....as does helping Jacob check into the fate of his fathers ship (had military personal aboard and you don't leave them behind), and even Legion and his mission make military sense. Sure not every sidequest strictly fits into your definition of a proper military mission...but that is why they are sidequests....you don't have to do them...and can in fact ignore people on your ship (for the most part) that you have no interest talking to.
Honestly, OP, I don't think this is the game series for you. I mean even back in ME 1 it was obvious the game was taking inspiration more from film than say hardcore military Sci-fi. Bioware's talent in the past, has been engaging characters with interesting backgrounds so to expect them to make all the characters conform to your view of military professionalism is unrealistic. Especially now that we are playing as a Pathfinder whose main mission is the exploration of new worlds.
