Let me guess, Flemeth used it to survive having Mythal removed? That's my second guess if Solas doesn't have it.
She gave it to someone off-screen before to die?

So you'd think, but while Kieran has probably lost a great deal of potential importance Urthemiel might have gained some.
Pulling a copout now would be lamer than never touching the subject again after Origins

If the ritual wasn't relevant at all the better choice from Bioware part would have been to not even introduce the child in DAI and let him remain an OGB off-screen with Morrigan saying that he was with his father or with some trusted person, they didn't so i think that they are planning something
I'm in disagreement with the second guess
he gave it to someone off-screen before to die?
Disagree,i think It's the same plot of the Merrill's Litany

Also credible, but I don't know who that would be. I'd bet on Abelas if he was unconditionally alive, or if him being alive was tied to Urthemiel's soul remaining on the mortal plane, but neither is true. Kieran is another candidate, but if that were the case she wouldn't have acted at all. Morrigan is another option, but again: Flemeth had an opportunity to give her the soul that she didn't take, and trusting it to find its way back to her after Flemeth's own death is a big risk. And a new character created for the purpose would just feel like an ass-pull, and would mean too much work introducing said character.
Shall we wait and see?

Went right over my head.
I found he looked more like Loghain than Alistair if you were a female Warden, but I personally think he was meant to look like the default male Warden from the trailer.

Considering the very concept of plastic surgery makes perfect sense in a medieval themed fantasy world, where people kill each other using a sword, use Serah as formal treatment and wear heavy plate armor in combat, I guess that's totally possible.
a) He takes after his mother.
b ) All children of human + non-human coupling are or appear mostly human.
a) He takes after his mother.
You'll need to explain to me how you figure that.
I think that if the elven traits are cancelled out by mating with a human, doing so could easily encompass cancelling out the elven hair/eye color. As Lynroy mentioned above, I think the kid is lucky to not have any apparent dragon traits.

Come to think of it, there was Feynriel...
Who certainly didn't get that blond hair from his human father.
Good catch, but it still doesn't answer what I understood was the question this thread was meant to. (That being how Loghain, Alistair, or a Warden who does not resemble Kieran conceived a child with Kieran's genetic traits.) Unless Bioware decides to clear that up, I'm going to have to go with "there is no in-universe explanation."
Which would have been a fine explanation and handwave... if he'd had black hair and yellow eyes, like his mother, grandmother and aunt.
I'm fine with him not looking like the Warden since their appearance is nebulous, but I can't fathom the reason (or fantasy genetics) behind why he was given brown hair and green eyes, since Morrigan's side of the family have a rather set bunch of traits to base him on.
(And yes, Flemeth's hair is grey now, but Morrigan alludes to her mother looking a lot like her in her youth, so her hair was presumably black as well)
It's science time!
Passing down genetic traits to your offspring isn't so straightforward. There is no guarantee the child will look like the perfect blend of their parents. As many as 16 genes can influence eye color alone, and in some cases, the environment plays a role in which genes get expressed and which won't. And then, of course, are the mutations...
When comparing Morrigan and Kieran, I'd say 'close enough'.
The one who got plastic surgery was Bann Teagan.
I'd have told him he seriously didn't need it, but, you know, the rich and famous...
Teagan: "Oh, my nose is too pointy! My ears need to come out more! Not to mention these bags under my eyes. And this beard needs trimming! And I'm way too tan! Oh! I'm a mess! Where's a plastic surgeon when you need one?"
Bhryaen: "Dude, the gay guy and girl fans adore you. Really. None of that is needed..."
Teagan: "Oh, and I need a new hat!"
