note: I haven't spent much time balancing the factions; this is more a proof a concept than anything else. if you decide to install the mod I'd suggest trying the boss faction
To install:
1. Create a backup of your patch folder, default location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch\
Took me 36 minutes to solo Big creatures faction with lvl 13 AW on Perilous. Lots of giants, but its quite fun. My stats: 78/88/88, just for reference.
Just finished zone 2 vs. the boss faction. It was basically revenant tennis with popup demons and dancing. It was awesome. Never felt my lack of a PI amulet so hard.
Edit: Finally finished the game. All I can say is solo the boss faction if you never want to complain about bolters again. Nightmares tonight.

Then, for every wave, the game will choose between these enemies to fill the positions for the minions, the heavies and the lieutenant (if applicable). The wave enemy selection changes every wave as intended by the devs. In other words, there isn't a set "rank" for an enemy. Whichever enemy the devs wanted for a specific wave will simply fill a position, either as minion1/2/heavy/lieutenant.. (it's possible to change the wave selection as well, though)
The easiest way to approach custom factions is to simply swap the enemies with something else. For the boss faction, what I did:
So if you want to suggest a custom faction, you can do so by specifying which enemies you'd want the standard enemies to be replaced with (like the example posted above). Here's the full list of MP enemies you can choose from:

And will it be possible to disable the high dragon's fly away ability? On any map besides the summit I can imagine it would be quite messed up other wise.
