What accents can we expect in Andromeda?

The accents that the voice actors have.
Who will the voice actors be? Were some of them hired because Bioware specifically wanted that accent/voice for that character?

My post was honestly a joke, I don't know who has been hired yet, although I bet BioWare will continue to work with stalwarts in their "stock company" since they tend to hire the same voice actors time and again.
It could be based on accent/voice but who knows?

I hope for quarian phoney baloney space Romani accents, but only on some quarians. Others will be Aussies impersonating a pommie like Xen or 'merican as apple pie ala Reegar just to screw with us.

That's me. I'm a little weary after they stabbed me in the back with DA: I. I am only at "never again" state for the DA seriesthough. I would do some VA work for ME:A. A dynamic role where I get to do highs and lows and I will work for cheap as this would be a trial run. If they decide not to use my work then no harm done. Future contracts would be in the 250k range per game though. I am that good.

I want every one sounding like Javik.
Javik's VA had a Nigerian accent.

Personally, I'd prefer our protagonist to have a different accent to Shepard, to emphasise that we're in a different setting. And, to be honest, I'd love Male!Pro to be voiced by Joseph Gatt or Jamie Glover, and Fem!Pro to be voiced by either Xanthe Elbrick or Jo Wyatt, but that's my opinion as a Brit, and an Imp in SWTOR.
Just something to mix it up a bit compared to the ISO standard American-style accent...

Javik's VA did good as Koth Vortena and he voices Locke in Halo 5
I hope he did appear in MEA but its Bioware tradition to recruit familiar VAs so I'm not worried.
But I'd prefer VA to use their natural accents rather than utilizing a fake one. I actually adored Eve Myles' natural Welsh accent which she tone it down to tiny bits with Merrill. Jo Wyatt is kinda bad at trying on an American accent in SWTOR... but I myself barely speak in English without it becoming an amalgam of weird british asian accent with terrible grammars so who am I to judge...

I don't mind just as long as there aren't any wonky fake accents going on. Listening to Mother Giselle trying to be French or Josie and Cassandra's 'whatever the heck they are' can be grating. Then there's Loghain going all Yorkshire with Han'Gerrel (I'm a big fan of Simon Templeman tho).
Just make them authentic and full of emotion. *cough*MarkMeer*cough*
Kym Hoy should voice the fem-protagonist. I miss Kasumi's voice.
Kasumi's voice is one of my favourites, a little husky and naughty. Perfect.

Yep, and also Solas. The slight hint of a Welsh accent, only a true Welshman could get that so spot on without overdoing it.

An interesting question OP.
I'd prefer that our female LI has an accent that suits her alieness. After all, her culture is different from ours. Something similar to Yoda's phrasing as well as a non American accent?
I'd like to see this for other characters as well even if they are not companions or love interests.

When games like DA and ME imported to other regions, the characters speak other languages, it's just based on the market they're trying to appeal to. Are we to assume that the characters all speak Russian in a Mass Effect game that the Russian dominating the world? Plus, what about Texas and Southern accent or New Yorkers? Even "American" accent can be different between regions.
Russian versions of ME2 and ME3 don't have a voice-over, just subtitles. Because Russian voice-over in games sucks and it was terrible in ME1.
IMO, there's no need for accents because it's the future. I suspect every human speaks English since birth so it's down to British English, American English etc.

Personally I don't care which accents they use as long as they are understandable. If they are so extreme that you can't understand what they are saying than that detracts from the game and the character.

How does that work? Did all countries and cultures on Earth cease to have their own languages, dialects and accents sometime in the future? Did multilingualism disappear?
