Please don't. As an Asian I have heard enough actors trying to do Asian accent, which is awful. English with Asian accent is just a mistake really, it doesn't even pass our own English oral test.

Think a Scottish accent would be interesting to be used in the game. We had Ken Donnelly in ME:2/3 and has been so far to date the inky Scottish character in the trilogy. Doesn't travel to be a Scottish main protagonist but a few emember worth the accent would be very interesting I think

I think Ken Watanabe or Hiroyuki Sanada would be epic casting.

Seriously, Received Pronunciation is what most people are thinking of when they say 'British accent'. There are so many variants between and within England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland that it kind of bugs me that we only either get RP or Eaaast Laaandaaan (Although Dragon Age has been better at this). In some cities you can tell from which side of a river someone's come from based on how they speak; different villages a couple of miles from each other have different inflections and mannerisms. It would be nice to have a change in ME that wasn't a BBC Radio 2 presenter.

 

Anyway, I think it would be nice to see a wider variety of accents within the human cast as well as the Alien. India has the largest population on the planet now (I think) and they're barely reflected in ME, examples like Frieda Pinto or Aarti Mann would be nice. I can understand the player character having an American/Canadian accent because of target marketing, but there's no reason for NPCs or Squadmates not to be more varied.
