This guy was the biggest troll in the series. Great accent.

Most of the atrocious French accents were from English-speaking VAs who were hired to do a French accent, but turned the Ham up to over 9000.

Most people seemed to like Leliana and Riordan/Stroud's voice acting, and they were both voiced by French voice actors.

On that note I'm hoping both Corinne Kempa and Stéphane Cornicard get major roles in Andromeda.

Leliana and Riordan are ok. But Cornicard is guilty of voicing Hubert in DA2 proving that even a french guy can fall in the Maurice Chevalier trap face first.

Maurice Chevalier was already an atypical voice for a french guy in the 30's bordering on the caricature even then (to put it lightly), sounding like him now is beyond ridiculous. Voice actors everywhere, please let him rest in peace.

I'll send Mel Brooks the memo. I'm sure he'll retroactively edit History of the World Part I accordingly. I doubt it was ever his intent to be historically inaccurate.

In this scene, it's a joke, a rather funny one at that. However, hearing modern actors pull a Chevalier in modern video games for a character that isn't a French from Provence in the 30's, it's just lazy. I'm not sure, bu to me that's what Mel Brooke joke is about, all those french characters speaking like Chevallier do exist in movies.
