I am happy to announce that I am finally a proud owner of DAI: GOTY...so, for all of you veteran players out there which DLC would you suggest I venture into first?

Jaws of Hakkon or Decent before Trespasser at least. Between Jaws of Hakkon and Decent, it's a bit tricky. Hakkon is more like the main game and can be a bit of a kick in the teeth at first, but you get used to it. Decent is a much more tighter experience, so if you are feeling a bit tired of the open world stuff and just want a good dungeon crawl, then that's a nice place to start.

Personally I would go for Hakkon first if you want to chill or the Decent if you're feeling focused and ready to punch some darkspawn.

Trespasser last obviously. The other two, flip a coin!

I suggest release order. Jaws of Hakkon first, then The Descent. Trespasser must be the last thing you do.

Trespasser must be done last or you can forget about doing the other two. As AnimalBoy stated you can do both JOH and Descent at the same time or flip a coin.

When do you do the DLCs? Trespasser is post-game obviously, but what about the others? After the Warden and Winter Palace plotlines seems like a good spot, but I may be under leveled.

I have problems doing JoH until winning the main campaign just as a matter of RP. What's going on there isn't an emergency. And honestly, it's hard enough without being underleveled too.

Wait so you can kill Corypheus and win the game THEN play Jaws, so does Trespasser automatically initiate after the final battle/credits or do you have to select on the war map or something?

I will get the game of the year edition when I get a ps4. I'm in no rush to get one at the moment.

 

When I do get it, I will do Jaws and descent before fighting Corypheus, and then trespasser

Trespasser starts with war table mission, so you can do Jaws and Descent after main campaign without worrying about Trespasser kicking in.
