Hi.  I first got into Dragon Age Inquisition via PS4 early in 2015.  After enjoying a number of playthroughs, I then bought DAO (for PC)with its DLC and have just finished a second playthrough DA2 (for PC) and its DLC.  Everyone tells me that the PC version of any game is the best way to go, so now I'm wondering which version of DAI for PC to get.  Any special deals?  Is it better to get it via download or DVDs?

Also, when I first played DAI on PS4, none of the DLC were out, so I want to get those as well on top of DAI for PC.  Any suggestions?  Just curious, are DAI DLC concerning things which occur during the main quest in Inquisition or things occurring afterwards?

The boxed version is 4 discs, so it is a pain in the neck to swap them during install, so I'd recommend the digital GOTY as it is a lot easier (and enviroment friendly too :P ) , but sometimes you can find a retail version much cheaper than the digital version (at least where I live, retail games tend to be cheaper).

Jaws of Hakkon and Descent can be played anytime, and Tresspasser concludes the game, thus cannot be played before the end of the main quest.

Also, keep that in mind that the PC controls in DAI are atrocius, so a controller comes highly recommended.

Don't worry about the controls too much. The PC controls are pretty standard WASD + mouselook (depending on how you like to bind keys), so if you can play, say, Skyrim on PC, DAI on PC is no big deal. The default keybindings are a bit wonky since they were copied from DA:O's odd setup. But yeah, if you like controllers, use one.

Note that the DLCs are always downloaded whether or not you have the base game on disc. All thr GotY is is the original game with codes.

Thanks, I'll go with GOTY.  Any opinions about getting it through Steam?

Yeah, that's an easy choice. Origin's better anyway.

I'm not sure it looks pretty fine to me for the moment. More than 150 hours in the game already. And that using KB&M. I did some keys rebinding and the free camera movement looks pretty bad arse to me.

You might be willing to try some external sites like g2a etc and buy an Origin code from them.
I got my DAI there, never had a problem and it costed 38 euro instead of whatever was the release price :P

I deem them equivalent, and not in a good way.

GOTY is £29.99 on Origin at the moment. I think that is cheaper than all of the DLC never mind the price for the main game.
