What the title says.
The codex guy is as much an iconic aspect of Mass effect as the galaxymap-unchartedworldsmusic combo is.
Is he coming back?
Is the "CODEX GUY" voice returning? Bring him back!

Hahahaha, I was actually listening to codex entries this morning while eating breakfast and thinking the exact same thing!

It won't be Mass Effect without him. I can't see any reason why they wouldn't keep him on for Andromeda.

I don't really like the voice acting for the codex. It'd be mildly useful if you could listen to it while doing other things, but when its just over the text its annoying

I always loved the voiced Codex I hope they bring it back. I wish more games had them, including Dragon Age. I just find it more interesting and easier to retain the information.
I don't mind who the voiceover is done by but 100% agree with Patrick Stewart as a stellar choice but that would be pricier than hiring a regular voice actor.
Other dream choices: Eartha Kitt (I wish she was still around to do it because I could hear that woman talk about anything), Emma Thompson (makes anything sound interesting) or Cate Blanchett (awesome commanding voice)

Codex guy has the right accent, the right staccato, the right attenuation, the right Contour.

I'd want it if it can come with different accents. We can filter it to an Australian accent, New England, etc. Bonus if one version is just someone meowing like a cat.

I guess I'm the only one who turned off his speakers so I could read the codex without someone babbling in my ear. I can read at least twice as fast as that guy speaks, I can't wait until he finishes when I'm looking for information. I dislike audio books for the same reason.

I was just thinking about this and thought how cool it would be if there were several voice actors involved with voicing the new codex.
I can only use the original trilogy as an example as we don't yet know enough about Andromeda.
Hackett /Anderson - Human entries
Javik - Prothean entries
Liara - Asari entries
Sovereign - Reaper entries
Aria - Entries based on the Terminus Systems and Omega
And so on.

It wouldn't be Mass Effect without the Codex narrator. Just as much as it wouldn't be Mass Effect without the inclusion of Uncharted Worlds (the galaxy map theme).

I would like to have him back for the codex entries. Though, anyone with a magnificent voice would do just fine. It has to be magnificent though, like David Attenborough level magnificent! - If the Codex guy is replaced I mean. Either Codex Guy, or Magnificent voice from other source.

Codex guy has a soothing voice, I sometimes listen to Mass Effect Codex entries before I fall asleep. Would be even better for a female voice this time around.

Yeah, if voiced codex entries returned, I'd prefer them to be muteable for just that reason. It's too distracting
but I think it's awesome that people are listening to them outside the game, so it does have some value.
It's pretty low on my list of priorities, though.

Quick thinking about this, BW could do Mark Meer, & or Jennifer Hale for some of the codex entries as a throw back to Commander Shepard.
