Whenever I skip past the intro movies of the game and get to the main menu I see jagged horizontal lines and the screen flickers a lot, but I can still see the menu behind it, go in game and the same thing happens while playing. It is just really unplayable like this. I looked in the NWN toolset to see if anything similar happened and when I open an area it doesn't display anything where the area would normally come up, only a solid grey box but I can right-click and see the lighting tile properties or whatever as per usual. There's just nothing there. Below is a list of things I've tried then some info about my laptop:

Uninstalled/Reinstalled NWN multiple times

Uninstalled/Reinstalled drivers CLEAN

Double-checked for correct drivers

Set the game (nwn.exe and nwmain.exe) to run as administrator in properties with windows xp sp3 compatibility, installed critical rebuild, etc

Disabled visual themes

Tried running in windowed mode (I only see a black screen like this but when I alt+enter I can see the game menu/in game, but with the jagged horizontal lines & flickering)

I have tried every resolution and the lowest possible graphic settings

When I run the game in safe mode, or with no nvidia display drivers there is no issue aside from the game running slow with the 1hz refresh rate and some models are white.. but that is the only thing that seems to get rid of the lines and flickering.

NWN is the only game I have this problem in as well. I installed NWN2 recently to see if I could run it on this laptop (low end fps but no lines/flickering)

DirectX 9.0c is installed

if anyone has any suggestions.. dont hesitate to..... suggest lol

I know you said you tried disabling themes... but have you tried disabling aero entirely? that may gain you back some video memory

If it only happens when you skip the intro movies, have you tried disabling the intro movies completely?

Try NDubyaConfig, if you haven't already.
