Please make the combat sensible rather than flashy and needlessly violent

I prefer headshots in ME2 because literally popping off heads that explode with blood in ME3 is ****** ridiculous, and is it just me or am I more repulsed when violence is understated than when it's right in your face? When you shoot someone in the head in ME2 and they die, splattering some blood and doing that cripple-like movement it makes me think "yuck!" in a good way. In ME3 it's so ridiculous that it makes me feel detached from it.

And for the sake of being preemptive, I hope ME:A does not have disintegrating enemies and so many flashy effects (cuz frostbite) that it becomes numbing to look at like DA:I.

I hope shooting people feels as simple as it's supposed to be.

Yet, since we are probably using heat-based weapons I'd love to see enemies getting burn marks instead of gunshot wounds.

I agree, the dismemberment animations were a bit ridiculous. For me, Red Dead Redemptions had some of the best depictions of gunshot wounds.

Yep.  Sensibly a large rifle round will blow your head off too.  Or at the very least remove the middle part of your head or leave the exit wound a gaping hole of mush.

Modern firearms can and do make heads explode, especially large caliber ones with lots of kinetic energy. I could show you some NSFW videos of executions by groups such as IS, if you wish. The far more powerful ones of the MEverse doing the same is in no way "ridiculous".

What, headshoting with high powered firearms like the M-99 Saber, M-77 Paladin, M-300 Claymore, & the Javelin too gruesome for you? Take this M-8 Avenger it's deadly on full auto, & it won't gib those pesky heads you'd like the enemies to keep on.

Although the more "sensible" thing to do is make the M-300 Claymore gib things harder, you're practically shooting steel bowling balls at pyjaks.

Claymoar should simply produce a hazy red/purple/green/white mist of blood/toaster lubricant floating inside a newly formed mushroom cloud if we're being "sensible".

No. I want my hard hitting weapons (like the Chemrail <3 ) to blow enemies apart. Homing grenades, high powered energy weapons. The works.

There seems to be some kind of obsession with Inquisition that it works its way into any criticism. It has magical fire and lightning conjured from the PC's fingertips or use of lyrium-infused elemental power to incinerate, flash freeze or zap the living sh** out of everyone. Of course they'll friggin explode or be disintegrated.

I don't.  I like watching people's heads asplode.

Especially the collectors.  Watching those bulbous heads pop is one of my favorite pastimes.  Course, it helps that I hate the collectors, but still.

Yeah I'm tired of people's limbs exploding in games. It doesn't gross me out its just ridiculously overused (especially in Fallout...a shot to the head with a 9mm pistol isn't going to decapitate someone for f***'s sake)

Yeah but in Fallout, you can dismember enemies just by hitting them with something. At least ME is using futuristic weapons that are more powerful than anything modern militaries wield.

well since the majority likes gore can we have executions.  Players need payback for all the banshee and praetorian executions we have endured.  I will forgive the phantom ones, but these other 2.....no way.

It was so rare you got brutalized I didn't even know the brutes had a sync kill for months.

Lets blow limbs off and taunt as they bleed out.  Stab them and look them in the eyes while we do.  stuff like that.

The exploding heads in ME3 is not even close to being senseless since there are high caliber weapons irl that can do that. Also the gore in ME3 is rather tame when compared to dead space, doom, god of war and gears of war.

Omni-blades are back which is basically the definition of needlessly flashy.

It sucks, but hey, it does fit the "AWESOME BUTTON" mandate.

If i could play the entire trilogy again with Shep wielding a hammer and bashing skulls, i'd be happy

jajaja not really. Too much finesse for that and I don't want stains on my clothes..because priorities and morality, or something.
