Final Fantasy 15 has been development way back since 2006, when it was called FF Versus XIII. Quite frankly, I stopped caring about the series even if I liked 6, 9, and 12.
Also, you may need to consider that Elder Scrolls 6 may be announced in the near future, which is something EA and Bioware don't want to compete with simultaneously.

I'd say that there's a non negligible chance that Darrah's trial balloon about a T-RPG is a hint about an interquel.
Sooooo, kinda news on a potential Dragon Age 3.5: does that count?

Sniper,I'm still a big fan of FF series and excitedly awaiting FF15 to be release this fall. If B-W would announce DA:4 it would be icing on the cake.
Needless to say if both was released at the same time my billfold would be much lighter.
