IIRC, it does to a limited extent. Sweet fruits like pineapple are said to enhance the taste (I think because a surprising amount of it is comprised of fructose), while things like smoking are said to make things more bitter and acrid. Don't know if any of that is actually proven or just anecdotal.

I...I look up a lot of stuff when I'm bored.

I've primarily heard of it in relation to men, but everything I've seen is anecdotal. The smoking seems to be a biggie.

It's true. Don't ask.

Some say that pineapple has the strongest effect. There are even jokes about it.

I'm probably getting excited/worried prematurely but while I'm not fully healed up yet I am healed enough where I can take care of changing the bandages myself and can probably start working without too much worry. Now I need to just get in contact with who I'm going to try and move in with and see if I can help get to work on clearing out a room and get a straight answer on how much is going to be expected of me regarding rent. If all goes well I should hopefully finally have a source of income and actual grown up freedoms within about two months.

*looks over, finds Far Horizons* well done!

I'm so glad so many people do their own recordings of Skyrim's soundtrack. As much as I enjoyed Trevor Morris' work on DAI, especially Trespasser, I was sad that we didn't get more of Jeremy Soule. His soundtracks to Icewind Dale, Total Annihilation, and Neverwinter Nights is the music that I constantly listen to and remember fondly.

Thank you. Jeremy Soule is a wizard, I swear. His music is in a whole dimension unto itself.

Of course! Fortunately I'm a great conversationalist and I can pick up the slack.

I guess a real answer and not a poor joke would be fitting.

Alot of little things that make me happy - The rain, Autumn, coffe, John Oliver, chocolate etc, and Ronja, which is my dog, picture below.

Black tea and black coffee. Coffee for when tired or cold, tea for whenever I feel like it which is a lot probably way too much.

Would also like to add had a great moment a week or so ago and just now remembered it, got my gran to do part of the intro to FO4 with her making the choices and her getting so angry at the Vault Rep and at the husband was hilarious. She was so mad that she had to fill the Rep's forms out regardless and made a remark about the husband not getting any after wards for not letting turn the guy away. She also asked where the 'slam the door in his face' option was.

Yay good news got my appointment bad news its not until Tuesday and the bruising already went down so chances are it's going to go away before I get there, but at least it's going away and I'm thankful for that. Still hurts but it does appear to be getting better :)

The rare chances I get to take care of baby opossums. Even if they are the ones my gran's ****** boss owns. Their tiny little feet just gripping on you and that soft fur and cute muzzles gets me every time. So fun to carry them on you and feel their little tails curl around you or their soft feet grip into your hair. I really miss doing that. Might actually look into what licenses I would need to have one as a pet when I have my own place.

Hmm, nice thread.

Camping. I never went camping until I was 22 years old. This is despite me living in Colorado for 8 years at that point. I love the smell of the cool morning at 9000ft, with fresh hot coffee in my hand. Everything is quiet and you can see the stars. I miss it, but time has not been in my side.

One night, my husband and I went to Casper, WY to go see Metallica and Godsmack. A good friend of his got us tickets after we took him to Ozzfest. Anyway, when we were driving down to his hometown to sleep, I mentioned how much I miss the stars. He then pulled over onto the side of a road at one of those lookout spots. He told me to get out of the car and man, it was chilly that night. He then told me to look up. There, in all of it's glory, was the sea of stars that I missed. It makes me happy to this day.

Speaking of stars/celestial bodies, every winter I can see Jupiter from my backyard, despite the light pollution. I was watching it rise earlier. Every summer I watch Venus. It's pretty and it's a great way to relax at night.

Talking to my husband about whatever comes to mind. Those times were we let go of work and stress and just...hang out. There is no subject taboo for us (although we're careful about the political talk,) and we'll chat while we're playing Diablo 3. I also love cooking with him as well, and we've come up with more than one recipe between the two of us.

Spending time with my mom. I have a really close relationship with her, and we talk a lot. She's the strongest woman I've ever met, and I'm honored to be her daughter. It took years for us to get to that point. We're both stubborn and clashed heavily when I was a teenager. Nowadays we'll talk about cooking, or our marriages or music. Whatever we feel like.

There's more, but I'm getting ready to start dinner.

Edit: OMG GOMEZ, I LOVE YOU. Dead Can Dance is one of my all time favorites. I own all of their albums, including Into the Labyrinth. That's the album were the song The Ambiguous Mr. Lovegrove comes from, as well as that track you linked. :D :D :D

While I'm not holding my breath on the amount not changing I am pretty happy about the current expected rent from who I plan to move in with. Though it's so low that I'm rather suspicious about it but best to not look a gift horse in the mouth I suppose still 10 dollars a week seems like a strange amount and payment schedule. Never did the rent thing before always thought it was a monthly thing. Still 10 bucks a week is cheap enough where I can cover about a month in advance while I look for a job.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee! That's my incoherent screeching noise, because I never find fans of Dead Can Dance. Is it stupid that I'm thrilled? Because I REALLY am.

Another 'what makes me happy' for the day: the mango margarita I'm drinking. Mmmmmmmm.
