Gomez: Has anyone ever told you that you have the softest brown eyes?
Morticia: No. Besides, my eyes are blue.
Gomez: No wonder nobody's ever told you!

My daily dose of happy. <3

Cuddling with my old basset. She's already lived past the average age for a basset, so I enjoy cuddling with her while I still can. She curls up against my butt and we both fall asleep. She's very gentle and never hunted for bugs when she was a baby. She even accidentally broke her friend the praying mantis and spent a week sniffing around the area where it was. She kept shooting us a look like, "Guys, please fix my friend."

Sitting outside for a few hours when it's pretty out. It's fairly quiet around here, and I guess I just enjoy the zen of the moment. Gotta take the little moments like that while you can. :)

Playing the Chrono games. I finished Chrono Trigger for the DS for the 4th time yesterday. Chrono Cross isn't really a direct sequel, but a great game all on it's own. My father-in-law got it for me for the holidays one year.

Getting into a HM game and being stuck on who to go after due to liking nearly all of the options. Even if I can't have my favorite one

Going to be having a storm soon, bad news I'll most likely lose power or internet connection, good news I get to hear the sound of rain if I'm lucky the thunder won't be too bad. Also figured out who to go for in my game as an added bonus

^ I've only played a single HM game, and it was fun until I got everything: fully upgraded farm, husband, baby. After that point it just became daily chores that I really had no interest in doing. The last time I played I was working my way down the many levels of the mine for some specific reason, which I've now forgotten, but gave up after a while.

I've gotta say, one of the more fun things was in seeing how many recipes I could unlock using real-world cooking knowledge, and then seeing the game recipe turn out to be a lot more simplistic (naturally).

Naming the farm animals was both frustrating and humorous. I eventually started throwing out names based on the items they provided; the chickens gave eggs, used in mayonnaise, so I named them Mayo, Nnaise, and other similar things. When they died, I just went with Jr., III, IV, and so on. XD

I usually quit around there too unless its something like Animal Parade where you can get a nice little NG+ if you complete the story after you raise at least one child. Heck I think Animal Parade is the only one I've ever 'beaten'. Most of the others I fizzle out on take a break then have to restart because I can't remember anything I was doing.

I either go with a theme for my animals, like naming them after youtubers I was watching at the time or just close my eyes hit a random letter then go with the first name that popped into my head.

Out of curiosity nightscrawl which HM game have you played before?

^ More Friends of Mineral Town, which I think (not 100% sure) was the first one where you could play as a female character.

Also, until I looked it up on Wikipedia, I had no idea the series had been renamed to Story of Seasons o_O. It makes sense, but doesn't sound as catchy, I think.

I've also played Animal Crossing, which is primarily just about collecting stuff. Completionist nightmare, that game is, or wet dream, depending on your outlook.

I believe you are right about it being the first you could as a girl either that or Another Wonderful Life, I'm pretty sure it was one of those two. Never played much of that one myself got too annoyed with highly limited backpack space and not being able to ship flowers for easy cash^^;

Oh I wasn't aware of that either. Harvest Moon sounds way more catchy. Guess I should keep in mind it has a different name now if I ever buy more. Though I'll probably forget and continue to call it Harvest Moon.

An hour of cardio followed by an hour of hard sparring and now I'm fucked. In a good way mind you.

Carving pumpkins is something I enjoy doing. I can't draw or paint, but give me a knife and a pumpkin and I can make something out of it. I love Halloween and poking through all those large pallets of pumpkins. I still have one I haven't carved yet from last Halloween. It's just sitting next to my piano.

Found a recipe for a Coffee-Coconut Ice Cream Bombe today and really really want to try it despite not being able to get any of the ingredients yet and being a very impatient/critical person of my own cooking but that thing looks so good to me. Maybe I'll try it if I can get the house to myself so no one else can hear me shouting at the sky and damning the whole world for merely existing

Maybe I'm just weird but that looks pretty tasty to me.

Im sitting in an elegant lounge at the top of the hotel, with a lychee martini and a magnificent view of San Francisco in front me. Live jazz is playing.

This is something a little like heaven.

These days if I can go through a day without a massive headache makes me very happy.

Failing that, cheesecake.

Doctor's appointment coming up Monday with any luck it'll be my last one and with even more luck I can work on moving out and hopefully getting a job that involves hardly talking to anyone, 8 hour days and I believe a 9 something starting wage. It'll be nights and I'll most likely have to work weekends but I am looking forward so much to being able to work again. Might be a silly thing to be happy about but it'll be the first time I've had any actual control money wise so I'm looking on the bright side of things for now.
