Probably too early to celebrate but so far I'm under my calorie limit by a good few, if I don't break like I did last night I might actually not go over my limit tonight :D

Found veggies in the house! Beautiful beautiful veggies! I doubt I have enough to last me to my goal but this just made things a lot easier for while we have them in the house.

The tulips blooming in the yard. Neither my parents (who used to rent this house) nor my husband have planted or taken care of them. They are just that resilient, and I've got red and yellow blooms around my house. :)

Another was getting caught in a very cold downpour with my Sasquatch on Saturday. That requires a bit of explaination.

On Saturday afternoon, we decided to run to the store. My husband had had a few beers so he didn't feel fit to drive. We put Wilbur (the puppy) in his harness and started out to the store. It was only about 1/2 a mile away, and we thought that this would be a good time to take the puppy for his first long walk.

We got to the halfway point and the skies opened up. I was in my Black Sabbath hoodie that kept me fairly warm and dry-ish, so I wasn't doing too bad. My poor husband didn't dress for the weather at all. The sky looked cloudy before we left, but we didn't think we'd get dumped on. So he was in a long sleeved button-down shirt, jeans and a t-shirt. The puppy was starting to whimper from being cold and wet, but we finished what we needed to and headed home. My jeans were soaked, the puppy had absorbed water like a little black sponge and Sasquatch was completely drenched from head to toe. Due to having really big feet, he typically wears socks with sandals. He ended up getting the worst of it.

Why does this make me happy? Because we couldn't stop laughing at ourselves. He's a native to the Rockies, and I've lived here for over 20 years. We knew better than to take the weather in spring at face value. It'll be a memory we'll chuckle about for years to come. The day we took Wilbur for his first long walk. :P

Sorry for the double post, but I'm in a good mood tonight.

Laser pointers make me happy. My husband got the very bright idea to pick up a small laser pointer for the puppy. He wasn't sure if it would work out, but Wilbur loved it. It wasn't very bright though, so Sasquatch recently picked up a more fancy laser pointer. The kind used for ppower point presentations in corporate meetings and such. This thing shows up quite clearly in the daylight. Wilbur couldn't be happier, and neither can we. The fancy laser pointer cost us $25, but it was worth it. It's the one toy the puppy can't destroy. :P

Finally killed that first katana guy in Dark Souls 3 after lots of tries. Good thing I started with the Herald class and could somewhat out-range him with the spear but maaaan was he a tough bastard (at least at that stage in the game).

On the one hand, I'm glad there's a class that starts with a spear.
It'll save me from having to make a beeline for a blacksmith to buy one.

On the other, I can't buy it while money is tight soo...

Went to a winery yesterday tried a wine slushie, it was pretty tasty. Couldn't handle more than a few glasses but I might of drank too much too fast spent a lot of time at the taster bar. All in all it was pretty fun and even got a bottle to crack open once in a while of a sweet white wine.

Today is my Friday, and I'm definitely going to get some writing done tomorrow. No flaking, and I'm not going to let myself pull the, "I don't have any inspiration card." I will write a chapter no matter how much Pinterest or the forums call to me.

There is a English community manager and is hanging out in the forums. Not a modbot either, but a real human being. I'm smiling a little bit at that.

I know Irish dancing isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I used to do this kind of thing while I was in High School.

So, the armchair I bought to be my new computer chair arrived today.

And despite being over the age of 25, I simply couldn't resist the urge to climb inside the giant cardboard box that it happened to arrive in... much to the chagrin of my two cats, who were deeply annoyed that I managed to get to the box before they did.

Ah c'mon, we all know everyone secretly wants to climb in boxes... anyone who says otherwise is lying!

What makes me happy?

Today, for some reason, I just started belting out some songs and I just felt happy beyond belief. It's been a rough week, and I don't know why this little thing made me feel so good, but I just love to sing, and I've just been in such a bad patch, I haven't sang in a long time.

Currently enjoying this as well in the UK, it's extremely relaxing and good to listen to when writing.  :D

Hey Fooze! You made me laugh very hard yesterday and I've needed it.

For now, watching my poor old bassett digging into her canned dog food and finishing the whole thing. She just finished licking the bowl across the kitchen to get the last scraps. Also, watching her waddle around the yard enjoying the amazingly pretty day outside. Zoidberg is as happy as she can be. We just finished hanging out by the maple tree in my backyard.

Although the smell of the wet dog food makes the entire kitchen smell like cheap gravy. :P

I love the rain. Just had a round of thunderstorm come through and now it's nice and cool.

What makes me happy?

This weird knack I have with animals, that for some inexplicable reason, means they often seem to adore - or at least, trust - me within a very short time of meeting them.

Perhaps it's because I seem to have a better read on the non-verbal language they use that lets me know what they are thinking (an ability with other people I sadly don't seem to have as refined), so they like me because they sense we're on the same wavelength?

Whatever the reason, tis a nice skill to have. :)

(Also makes me think the Ranger spec needs to return in DA4!)

I think they just sense how pure of heart you are, tbh. :P

Got my interview for this Tuesday. Unrelated but one of my interviewers is pretty cute so there's a small bonus. Now I need to find this odd balance they want of respectful but not too respectful. (Got told someone didn't get the job for being 'too soft spoken and polite')
