Both Templar and Legionnaire have two passives that give "50% Bonus to Maximum Guard"?

I was always confused by this. They each have two passives called:

Bulwark:

You stand all the stronger to finish the fight, gaining a bonus to your maximum guard.

Maximum Guard Bonus: 50%

Constitution on Unlock: +3

Untouchable Defense:

They can't kill what they can't hit. You get a bonus to your maximum guard.

Maximum Guard Bonus: 50%

Constitution on Unlock: +3

So I always just got both of them (first getting the "Livid" ability to create Guard), but I couldn't tell if they stacked and just assumed they did. But if they don't stack, have I been wasting my points all this time?

What do you Templars/Legionnaires get when you go down this skill tree? Do you also get both of these passives for your Guard?

I think they stack from SP experience but I'm not certain.

I tend to leave guard passives to the end though. Legionnaire don't need them, templar needs too many points to grab wombo combo, livid and shield bash already. So I always end up picking guard passives at a very late stage.

I am sure they stack, you can feel the difference when you take damage.

In my opinion

Low stats: take them both

Medium stats: take one

high stats: take one if you go NM+

PromotionLord stats: who the f.... cares? :D

But another question, how is it calculated? Max Guard is 25% of maximum health ... so if I have both passives do I end up with max guard of 50% of maximum health or with 1250% `? maybe interesting for people with low stats :)

They stacks for sure.  Huge difference between none and having just 1.  And then noticeable difference adding the 2nd one.  Having both is nice because if you have magehunter, basic attack will keep full guard without any other active guard gaining skills. :P

I only take one with Lego because Warcry and Counterstrike (sometimes) and with Templar I rely on 1 passive, Magehunter and Hakkon sword for guard.

Way Cry I think, is still broken as intended

My Con stats aren't that good but Lego in NM and HB doesn't die without some serious sh!t happening.

They fixed it. It now aggros all pots within an 8m radius and provides a 200% focus gain bonus for 4s.
