I'm gonna cut to the point and keep it simple. You really need to do this. The two most recognizable IP's you have don't really allow for anything remotely similar to what this IP could offer. You need to do this for a number of reasons but most importantly for the darker more horrific side of your studio's story centered talents.
1.) Mass Effect and Dragon Age, but Dragon Age more specifically cannot or no longer carry the same Dark Gritty world overtones they once used to, or if they ever did, I suppose it's a matter of opinion.
2.) It's similar enough in a lot of aspects to the type of direction you've been taking the above mentioned series in terms of game play and storytelling direction anyway, so it's not a huge leap in terms of what you already do.
3.) I don't expect to see the entire World of Darkness realized in one game but focusing of the Vampire the Masquerade part of the mythos which is so vast and varied that there is literally any number of stories to be told or reimagined with a BioWare like twist. I can't think of any other developer right now who I'd trust more to write a story within that world.
4.) The mechanics are all there, previous games in the series have all had great reviews in terms of their keeping to the lore and system already laid before them and while I'm sure your people would want to change certain things so long as you pay homage to what came before and try to keep vaguely true to the core system I'm sure even the most die hard fans would concede and at least give the game a good looking over.
5.) You guys really need a new IP even if it's not original, Dragon Age and Mass Effect aren't in danger of going out of style anytime soon, but you've guys have been shown to be capable of so much more in the past when you worked on other licenses like Star Wars, or D&D.
6.) The Fan base is there, and they are definitely hungry to see one of the most beloved rpg worlds come to life in a new generation of PC or Console gaming. I know I am, and I'm sure everyone who was hoping for CCP would follow through with their original intent to release such a game MMO though it may have been would welcome something single player or not.
This was a on the spur of the moment tirade pleading after remembering what could have been and just how sad it was that no one anywhere seems to want to pick up the ball and run with it. Hate to through your buddies names around but I can't help but mention how Bethesda took a little known title called Fallout and well.. we see how that turned out.
