i recruited her in my first game and she almost never makes it out of Skyhold/Haven.
but then i am playing a ruthless character, i supposed her views more aligned with the bas**** im playing.

Maybe if we don't mention the Temple of Mythal Dalish fiasco it wont exist LOL? "Who is Mythal?" says my Dalish when she has Mythal Vallaslin magically stapled to her face.
I pretend she's doing it for the benefit of others in the party. It's the only way I could make it through lol.
When she first moved my furniture and didn't have the option for a good comeback she started wearing the ugliest armor I could find and tint it with Plaidewave as main, Imperial Vestment Cotton and Veil Quartz. I also give her a weak crafted Blade of Tidarion and take off her hat. And she never levels.
I honestly forget she's a companion. After I get to Skyhold she turns into an NPC.
Basically this, except for me she's an NPC already in Haven. I don't like her one bit. She's snobby, self-centered and mean, and when people talk about inner beauty... Vivienne doesn't even know what that means. She has none. In my game she's a human-sized dust ball in the balcony of Skyhold.
Sweet baby Jesus, hakuna your tatas!
One image is mocking Vivienne's haters and another post is talking about their annoyance with people who get angry over characters having their own (strong) opinions. Neither of those posts mentioned people who dislike Vivienne or call female character's a 'b!tch' are racist or sexist.
So quit being so hyper-defense; it's only counter productive when you rant how you're totally not racist/sexist/bigoted when the post you're replying to didn't even mention it.

So if someone would sent you such a post you would not get defensive about it he is saying with this post that i am a racist so i will defend myself if someone accuses me of something that i am not

Mother of Fu--
Basic reading comprehension skills, do you have them? I am NOT the person who wrote the "Deal. With. It." post.
Your temper tantrums are adorable though. To those I have to say the exact same thing that I wrote earlier: Hakuna your tatas and quit taking everything so personally.
So why are you so defensive all of a sudden hakuna your tatas quit being so hyper defensive

I totaly agree with you
You know for those people who complain about asking who is Mythal, correct me if I'm wrong, but you do not have to click that option. Its called Role Playing for a reason.
True. When designing dialogues, you can't assume that the player knows the same (or more) than the character s/he is playing. So such dialogues need to be there. The option to simply put that info in a codex entry wouldn't be very user-friendly; you want to be able to access the info when the situation occurs.
And I do think people expect too much of the dialogue system in general. Context- and Character sensitivity would be quite complex to develop.

If a question does not make sense for my character, especially my Fem Shep, to ask, then I do not ask it.

Yeah, the only reason it only happens once at Skyhold is because I give her a chance right after recruiting her and take her to do the beginning of In Hushed Whispers (meeting Fiona at the tavern) and some miscellaneous Hinterlands quests along the way. That's when I realize Viv is just not for me, and subsequently I never take her out anymore. It's a combination of her personality being gross and the primness making it hard for me to picture her (literally) getting her hands dirty in adventures (despite what she says to Blackwall about not caring about getting mud on her).
So she ends up as someone I just check in with now and then at Skyhold. My mind must completely block out her playing card when I'm assembling an adventuring party. I never played a character that got her furniture-moving scene (I tend to play slight variations on the same PC, trying to hone down a canon character), so it's not like I'm even mad at her. She's just a non-entity. I even turn down her personal quest and she doesn't really seem to care.
I like what Vivienne says to Blackwall personally, I hate how Blackwall is such a simpleton and her quips at him make me laugh. I can't be honest without Blackwall being upset with me or having a go at me, why can't I just be a normal person Blackwall?!

Where did he say that you're a racist? Nowhere does anyone imply you're racist. That image does NOT say you're a racist, it's just mocking her haters, you're seeing things that aren't there and getting overly-defense for nothing.

I'm trying to calm people down who read and see **** that isn't there, my tatas are already hakunad.

I guess i don't read it that way that this was a mocking post and to me this is not nothing and i cannot see the mocking part in it
ROFLMAO Wow.... So glad the deeper meaning of my post reached you. Take a like Patricia, you caught me red handed
Well i guess i was not reading it wrong with him saying that the deeper meaning of his post was me being a racist but i guess i am reading this wrong to right ?
Patricia08, I agree.. In my next game she will not be recruited. I didn't like the way she mouth off to my inquisitor about the mages and Cole.
Not a big fan of freedom of speach and dissenting opinions by uppity black women, eh?
Or at least not when they're the wrong ones.

Have you ever heard of this wonderful concept called 'sarcasm'? Do you genuinely not see that him saying 'the deeper meaning of his post was you being a racist' is total sarcasm? Especially considering he posted a picture implying that he's laughing while writing a supposed apology?
Are you seriously so naive?
Ha! Except in Thedas people would look at what she is wearing, no matter how ugly, and believe it to be the height of fashion...so she *still* wins. Lol. And even worse, the people would demand her horrible outfit be the new uniform for the entire Inquisition! When she first moved my furniture and didn't have the option for a good comeback she started wearing the ugliest armor I could find and tint it with Plaidewave as main, Imperial Vestment Cotton and Veil Quartz. i stuck her in Army Green Vestements of the Pure plus gave her the flower helmet plus the Blade of Tidi.
I'm fine with Vivienne , I'm more critical of the fact she's written to appear skilled at the "Game" , but the Inquisitor isn't .
The Divine talk was the moment I got fed up , I hate the fact it seems the Inquisitor gets manipulated "My , Vivienne come to think of it you'd make a good divine!".What I was thinking was "I know what you're doing there woman , and I do not agree with that at all."
Why the Inquisitor can say to Leliana or Cassandra they wouldn't make good divine and he doesn't agree but has to remain oblivious to Vivienne shenanigans is beyond me.
But anyway I freed the mages and got Cassandra as Divine , it caused some trouble at the end of DAI ...then Trespasser , and Vivienne solved the rebel mages issues. So she actually made my epilogue better + spa day .

I never really gave it much thought, but it is pretty curious how there's no dialogue that's critical of Vivienne as an option for Divine, especially since you can go on about how the Chantry's a failure and such prior. It's come to the point where I fully support Leliana as Divine just because it's exactly what Vivienne doesn't want, and I want to see the Chantry change so drastically that the clerics choke on their hats.

How exactly would the Inquisitor be good at the "Game"?
The Human non-mage is from a minor noble house in Ostwick. The Human Mage is from the Ostwick circle. The Dalish is from a Dalish clan that roams the Free Marches. The Dwarf is a member of the Carta. The Qunari is a mercenary. Vivienne is written to be skilled at the "Game", because that's her character. She lives and breathes the "Game". She has also been playing it for years. How on earth could the Inquisitor hope to match her in her own territory when there is very little reason for them to have had any experience with the "Game" prior to the beginning of DA:I?
Also, yes, the Viv spa-day scene was fantastic! ![]()

Yeah, you don't have to ask, but Morrigan explains a bunch to you anyways. Which is why I said I just pretend she's doing it for those in my party who aren't Dalish. ![]()
Honestly, I don't mind Vivienne - and I must admit, there is something charming in her unapologetic aristocratic attitude; I love how she purposely annoys Sera. However, there should be an option to kick her out of castle after furniture scene - I mean, no self-respecting leader would ever allowed this kind of behaviour.

Because "the Game" is not rocket science.
It's just manipulation and looking good while doing it , Orlais may call it " the Game" so it seems special but it isn't.
It happens everywhere .

I think there is one response you can pick when Morrigan is talking:
The response goes something like....my clan never did that.
I don't understand why bioware didn't put in an elf only response to this set of conversations. Something like: Morrigan, not all clans have the same beliefs. Some clans may think like you say but my clan believes.....etc.
EDIT #1: oh and to stay on topic, Viv and Sera are actually two of my favorite companions in the game. Both because they aren't afraid to get in your face about expressing their views.
EDIT #2 for clarity
