Do you like if there are meelee attacks in ME games? Something like if the enemies are down and have low health, there could be finishing moves or stomp on them while they're down or maybe some more expanded use of meelee weapons like an energy blade or something? Vanguard class tends to be close quarter anyway, so it just adds more variety in term of what approach we want to do like close combat or range combat.

I liked the omni-blades and biotic strikes in ME3. I'd love to see them make a return in the next game, perhaps with additional customization, such as how the Infiltrator and Engineer had disruptor and incendiary omni-blades, respectively. There were also quite a few unique melee attacks introduced in the multiplayer mode, like the Batarian gauntlet.

Those would all be nice to have as options in MEA.

I want some nice close quarters combat which is defined by something more than just gun-whipping enemies but rather having a variety of flashy moves. Deus Ex: Human Revolution had some cool finishers so maybe something like that. I liked cover grabs from ME3 but it was very disappointing that you couldn't sneak to a goon with his guard down and finish him without going to cover. And I'd like some element of stealth too.

Omni blade attacks and close range biotic strikes could be fun.

Also butt strokes and bayonet attacks.

Me too!! Those were fun.

I also love a good finishing kick from the Uncharted multiplayer. I love doing that to people. :D

That kick is funny as hell. It's like "Get your **** outta here!!!" xD

On topic: Disarm the guy and give a biotic uppercut kind of attack would be epic.

I kind of liked the melee approach in ME3. I like melee as long as it's not a piece of trash (as it kind of was unfortunately in ME3).

If you're going to add melee into the game, make it useful otherwise remove the feature altogether. Melee is risky so I really don't know why it has to suck so much, like hitting 7 thousand times a dude to actually kill him is a huge waste of time.

Or having to choose between health and shields OR melee in skill trees was frigging absurd. Like seriously if I'm going full bayonet charge, I need the health and shields to survive all the shots I'm gonna eat on the way in to my target/s.

On the other hand I don't want this game to be some sort of space ninja high-tech sword fighting nonsense type of thing. I don't think the franchise should head into that direction.

ME3MP style melee would be just fine.

Lots of options, from the "people's elbow" to the GI "melting pot", to the Slayer "transporter".

All lots of fun, hope they make the transition.

Variety of melee strikes like ME3MP? yes.

Halo assassination like sequences? mixed feelings, if they're short and makes me cry imagining the pain my enemies feel, yes. If they're needlessly long and leaves me vulnerable HELL NO.

Quick time event squences? Only if bioware wants to get friendly with an airlock.

So long as it looks believable. Nothings worse than watching a Quarian melee something.

Maybe we could have the ability to add different elemental effects to our melee attacks. Like electricity/shock.

The reason why my favourite heavy melee was the Infiltrator's.

The problem with omni-blades is that they're stupid.

Someone's butthurt that the female Quarian Infiltrator can dish out far more backhand damage than any krogan.......

It's ok, you guys can still provide moral support.

I'm sure the Armier Legion's heavy melee is making a comeback. The sound and the spectacle was top notch.

Now if NextShepard can also have the whips that the ex-Cerberus characters use ...

I bet she can run really fast too. I hear you need to be good at that if you want to escape your own Homeworld.

Indeed, almost as fast as a krogan trying to find a fertile female before dying of old age.

Sounds like your smaller less numerous testicles have an insecurity issue and don't you raise your kids in a bubble?

You're like pokemon. Bubble boy evolves into suit raticate.

First of all, the melee skilltree must be separated from the fitness skilltree.

Melee damage should compete with weapon and power damage, fitness should share its skilltree with movement speed.

Melee weapons could have upgrades and mods just like firearms have, with some variations of the base melee weapon depending on what class the character is.

But I think a Volus should not be able to use a Krogan Hammer.
