1. Make the recruitment of Templars and mages necessary for closing the Breach.

2. Even though I said the above, I would also not have the Breach closed so early into the game. Instead, the Breach would tear open even more. In general I would have it spread open wider the more story quests the player completes, only closing when Corypheus is defeated.

3. Calpernia and Samson would both be in the story, since you're now forced to get mages and Templars. Have both of their quests available to the player as well. Calpernia's can stay the way it is, while Samson's will end in a different location.

4. Add the option to Use Power to complete War Table Operations instead of waiting in real-time for a countdown timer.

5. Add Iced Dragon Bone and Iced Dragon Hide to every DLC Merchant in the game (Black Emporium, Deep Roads Quartermaster, and Trespasser).

6. Have Corypheus attack all the player's Keeps, forcing us to pick between keeping them or letting them be destroyed to save civilians.

7. Also have Corypheus win at the Arbor Wilds, giving him the knowledge of the Well of Sorrows. He'd be forced to drink from it himself because you'd have dealt with Calpernia and Samson beforehand, but it's still a win for him because he got what he came for.

8. Add Shards to the Golden Nug. Now you can enter the Solasan Temple at the start of every game.

9. Double or triple the speed of all mounts.

Number 6 seems problematic.  I mean it would just get repetitive if the same situation played out at every. single. keep.  I could see that working out for the Emprise but...well hell in the WA there are very few Civillians for Cory tp even attack.  Only person who would qualify is the Dragon Hunter guy.

Expand the main quests, probably with meaningful sidequests and easy-to-access background information (not scattered notes under tables and chairs) about the events and the major characters (most of the mage-templar war and orlesian civil war is detailed in novels, and the game should not rely on these to present us a storyline).

War table overhaul - much more of these quests should have a playable part, it would surely help to fill those vast empty areas and connect the redundant, optional ones more to the main story.

More involvement from the villains - in Origins we were shown quite often what Loghain is currently up to, in DA2 Meredith and Orsino were also in the middle of everyting that has happened in the game. I'd love to see more Corypheus-Calpernia/Samson scenes.

More cinematic dialogue - it may seem like a small or unnecesarry addition, but the varying camera angles, gestures, etc. make the conversations so much more natural and overall better.

Fort overhaul - taking over forts from bandits and blood mages should be a more large-scale confrontation, with some planning and troop positioning involved (maybe and RTS-like minigame?), instead of 4 dudes bashing in the castle door and killing everyone, working their way up to the commander. Also, fort customization as it was promised in the alpha - forts for garrison troops, or spies or providing shelter for traveling merchants.

More visible Inquistion presence - random encounters, where soldiers are fighting bandits, beasts, demons, helping refugees, building/renovating structures etc.

More larger cities and an expanded Val Royeaux.

An option to be a dividing figure/tyrant/religious fanatic.

Tac cam fixes, so it no longer has to take the stairs to reach elevated postions.

Wow, all of this.

I made number 6 that way because I guessed it was Bioware's original intention. I could cut it down to just Suldein Keep (since that's a major source of Corypheus' Red Lyrium operations).

Upon thinking about it, again probably a rehash of something I said before but both the Exalted Plains and Emeralf Graves could have tied into the Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts main mission.

Exalted Plains, from the set up, we know that the two sides have gone into a tentative Cease Fire mode because of the ongoing talks at the WP.  But communications has been lost.  In my version the Inquisition goes to the EP and comes across both sides engaging in renewed hostilities because both of them blame the other for the sudden rise of the dead in the pits.  Plus you have the mysterious third faction in the Freemen of the Dales running around.  The Inquisition has to simultaneously engage in fighting both armies, and the Freeen, and the Corpses, all the while trying to bring peace to both armies and find out who is responsible for the army.  This will require negotating a brief stay in the fighting so you could visit both armies, here their side of the story, get background on Gaspard/ Celene, and try and make it through.  Once you finish after a series of minor main story quests, essentially turning all the 'lay rest...' quests into main story missions you finally get invited to the Winter Palace since the Inquisition has actually done something for Orlais. Some of the side quests could have even helped with thsi as some of the NPCs you talk to could have then shown up at the WInter Palace for further bonus.

The Emerald Graves, while not required, would have been an excellent opprotunity to have the side quests tie into the story.  Fairbanks and his whole plot would have been excellent.  Trying to determine his noble background would have stayed a side quess but if you did it, and you decided to use it, he could have shown up at court during Wicked Eyes and give the Inquisition a boost in Court Approval.  Maybe this would have been a good place to maybe run into Briala too to give her some more background before running into her at the Winter Palace.

(that post long enough for you Pat? :P

Please no, I hated that in DAA, I want to save everything! At least let me do it like in DAO where you split in two groups and each has to fight a different group (like the Warden fought the Archdemon and the others fought the Darkspawn in Denerim)

7. Also have Corypheus win at the Arbor Wilds, giving him the knowledge of the Well of Sorrows. He'd be forced to drink from it himself because you'd have dealt with Calpernia and Samson beforehand, but it's still a win for him because he got what he came for.

Yes to this.

But searching for Shards is fun :( I want more Shards!

Now what I would change:

- Add Astrariums in the Hissing Wastes. So much space. So much night sky. Not a single Astrarium! :(

- Make that you don't have to buy the Nug statue in Val Royeaux again, if you already bought it in one PT and synced it with the Golden Nug. You'd just get the war table mission "The Big One" after you moved to Skyhold. (I want my Nuggalopes! ò^o *is still saving gold to buy it in her current PT*)

I already reconsidered having ALL the keeps attacked. No w it's just Suldin Keep. Never thought I'd meet someone that liked Shard hunting either.

I also would hae made the taking of Griffon Wing Keep a Pre Req for Here Lies the Abyss.  Give it a strategic rally point where the Inquisition can stage forces out of to launch the attack.  Also maybe adding a side quest where you can maybe gain Siege Weapons for the attack to make the siege easier instead of relying on some never-before-seen-noble who has no reason to help you.  Speaking of them though you could also go to her via the War Table if you weren't able to secure the weapons in the Western Approach.

There are days I want to do a stage 1 rewrite of DA I as fan fic.  .  I mean it is my favorite game of all time but the version I have come up in my head is so much better.

So lets try this on for size: The Inquisition goes to the other area (Redcliffe/ Therinfall) that they did not recruit to see the results of not recruiting said side.  Therinfall over run with RTs and other abominations, failed experiements etc, Redcliffe roaming with demons and rifts.  But in so doing you run into a note where it reveals where Cory and his gang of misfits reveals where they went with the captured army.  You follow them there and discover clues about Cory's identity, finally you see the man himself at the head of his army, about to launch an attack...on Haven.  You rush to Haven just ahead of the army.  And close the breach somehow.

If Hawke is not left in the fade, she/he becomes a companion. Or at the very least, Hawke shows up to help fight Corypheus in a support role similar to what he/she did when attacking Adamant Fortress

Another is to fight the ugly thing and have both Warden and Hawke survive

If I had to pick one thing I'd change, this would be it. Hawke leaving really bothers me, and I would've loved for her to stick around to be there for the final battle.

okay where to start?

1. bring back dual wield for warriors

2. bring back option to change from Melee to Ranged weapons in battle

3. bring back the Radial Wheel for spells/talents and sustained modes

3. bring back All the Specialisations from previous games especially DAO and DAA

4. bring back the Armours and weapons from DAO/DAA and DA2

5. relationship meter for rivalry/friendship level

6. Allotment of Attribute Points by YOUR choice

7. Hair, flattering styles for males and females long, short and anything in-between

8. real choices with visible consequences in game

9. give us a summoned pet/animal Mabari, horse, wolf, etc

10. fix the banter of companions so it isn't interrupted by anything in game (npc at camps worst culprit)

11. give us more options in CC for all races male and female

12. Stop putting in cheats then removing them (dev) its just irritating!

13. Option to Murder Knife companion who really grates on you (I'm looking at you Vivi)

14. and probably the most important give us Dwarf Romances for crying out loud!

The things i would like to change/fix are

1 No more court approval in Wicked Eyes an Wicked Hearts very annoying

2 That some of the shards books and other stuff were easier to get

3 That you would run over loose stones a little easier and not get stuck behind them and jumping is not helping anymore

4 That you would run faster when armed with a weapon especially for a mage or rogeu

5 That this was not such a pop up game because on Xbox one this is the worst pop up game i have ever played

Inquisitor could have better lines. Slightly more sarcastic or aggressive.

Ooh good one!  Hmm ... for DA:I specifically and not for Bioware RPGs in general I guess I'll go with:

1) Have the option of saving a few (not all) of the opposing factions in Templars and Mages decision.

2) Allow for the "Judgement" of Fiona due to her crimes in Redcliffe, it would make allying with the Mages so much easier.

3) Fix the really slap-shod dialogue with the Dalish Inquisitor in the Temple of Mythal, and in general for everyone the out of place Solas dialogue afterwards if you did decide to drink from the WoS.

4) Give poor Cory a win.  That guy ... after Haven he really needed something big to keep his intimidating presence vibe, but he just didn't have it.

5) Give Vivienne her moment in "WE and WH" and some actual Wartable Ops with her "Loyal" Mages.  Regardless of players opinion on her personality the lack of those two things made her pretty superfluous game-wize.

6) Make the explorable zones more relevant to whats going on.  Fill them with a few optional objectives that help link them to the story at hand and maybe play a minor factor on the effects of the choices in the main quests.  Like, how interesting would it have been if what you accomplished in "The Exalted Plains" actually would have had an effect on some kind for "WE and WH"?

7) Ten Minute Party Banter rather than 15.  Probably a good idea to not force it to reset when you teleport as well, pausing it until we're back in the field is fine ... but no more of this reset nonsense I wan't my Dorian/Bull pairing, but I don't want to be forced to spend the whole game with those two taking up party slots just to get it LOL!

... that'll do for now. :D

Get rid of the open world and go back to a DAO, BG2 style

Mage characters get a mage origin, rather than the human noble one, expand on the mage rebellion in their background

Cut down half the areas and combine the similar ones Emerald Graves + Exalted Planes, Fallow Mire + crestwood, Oasis + Hissing Wastes, etc.

Replace buffalo escorts and shard hunting with some of the storylines from the War Table

Add a rebel mage companion (replace Viv or Dorian)

An alternative companion romance to Cassandra for men, One that has very different views

Rainer is always Rainer, no Blackwall persona. Darker character overall

Make poor man's Leliana (Josie) and poor man's irenicus (Cory) more like their counterparts

Drop the Inquisition power down a few notches, closer to a bunch of rebels than the biggest power in Thedas

Dial back the sanitizing of the game world and the creep of High/Heroic Fantasy
