Dammit. I knew I missed a build. The claymoar HSol is so damn op, it´s almost broken. Personally I prefer Drill rounds on the Raider Tsol over AP when I run him with a Geth Scanner, but that´s just me. Headshot all the thingies through 500 wallZ, yeah.

Yeah, you can definitely swap them around. Since I'm firing from a distance a lot, I can rarely put drill rounds to good use since they're gonna be outside the scanner range a lot. Unless I'm in a close map, then yeah. Little difference anyway, one or the other are gonna lead your team to glory ![]()

Raider Fat Turian: Be glorious and fat . Note that if you have no AP or Drill Ammo available just use whatever ammo you like and the high velocity barrel.
walk or run up to things because you are a fat tanky turian (adrenaline mods recommended if you have it)
Apply shotgun to things
Things all die
Go find more things to kill
Prox-mine is for debuffing the big armor bosses and not a primary damage dealer
CS can knock down the occasional mook if it comes close while you're reloading or low on ammo, but it can be skipped entirely since it's kind of a gimmicky power and not as useful as a debuff anyway IMO.
Note that if you dislike being a fat glorious no dodge for some unfathomable reason you can also do the same build with the Quarian Marksman.
I can safely say that even at level I or II, which is where it's at on my 60 hour old PS3 manifest, the Raider hits like a goddamn truck, whereas I find low level claymores to be underwhelming.
The AT-12 Raider comes with an added bonus, if it's laggy enough you'll get three shots off-host (in fact I am way more used to the three shot raider than the two shot since I don't often host), and from experience I find it's not a very susceptible gun to failed hit detection, so most of the time all three of those shots will land and do damage.

This. Though I feel Quarksman does it better. I kill things so fast the game literally lags to catch up. Just think if the Piranha still had 8 shots and more damage. OMFGS

LOL. GI with a Claymore will 3-4 shot an Atlas.
Some times it feels that it took me more shots to kill a moving Husk, then to kill an Atlas. ![]()

I believe I'll use soldiers to test put shotties. Vanguards need CDS and most of my shotguns are heavy.tks for the tips
The Wraith is an excellent Vanguard weapon as it's light and hits like truck, it's an UR though so it takes some time to get it. The Claymore is a bit to heavy for my liking, but the Raider isn't to bad, especially on the Kroguard.

I want to try it on a more resistente kit as the GI is quite squishy. I might try it on a destroyer or maybe even the quarian soldier.

Firstly, I don't actually like the Claymore all that much...
Now having said that...
I gave it a good try and did well with it on Platinum. I noticed it has a definitive rhythm to it that meshes will with certain kits/powers, but you have to get into that rhythm or it doesn't work out well. I usually use the Talon on most kits I'd be putting a Claymore on and the pacing is a bit faster as a result. I found it sync'd up well with the Batarian Slasher. Bit of a slower pace to the power usage. More precise though. Warp, plod ahead, shoot, grenade-into-reload-cancel, shoot. And somewhere in there a biotic explosion went off hopefully, or bodies got tossed around. You dun care. It's dead...
...So basically what I'm getting at with my high ramblings is try it on the Batslasher, it's worth a shot on a character that's sort of unexpected.

One thing I've found out is that there really is no bad shotgun. Sure, some are broken and others are legit top tier but even the Katana and Scimitar kick ass with the right strategy. For the Katana, it's a headhunting machine and feels so satisfying to explode heads with. Scimitar's excellent for any caster class with priming/warp ammo. Good for supplemental damage during CD and at applying ammo. The Disciple is a melee kit's best friend as it will stunlock all things no matter the target. The Eviscerator was the original gangsta of shotguns and is nearly as good as the Wraith.
Just because some guns do a ton of damage for every shot doesn't mean those others are useless or boring. Give me a Scimitar anyday over a Piranha, Reegar, or Wraith. Of course, when I have to bring my A-game or increase my dps with a low (weapon) damage kit (like SE) then I'll pull out my big... Wraith.
