I keep improving my relations with Miranda as I go along. I came to the part where its about to "go down" if you know what I mean. I saved it before I talked to her. After talking to her I went back to my room and noticed my picture of Ashley was flipped over. So i reloaded and declined the offer and this time the picture wasnt turned over. Will this ruin my relationship very badly in the long run?

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned that if you cheat on your ME love interest, there will be repercussions in ME3.

It has been also said that sticking with you ME1 LI will have bonuses in ME3. Im gonna stick with Ash for my main paragon shep.

i'm thinking about taking a break from ash. it's what i'd do. i see her for the first time in two years and he reaffirm our feeling only for her to be hurt and push me away? ass to that the news of a possible one way trip. if i were in shep's shoes i'd live for the moment. jack seems interesting.

Just do multiple playthroughs like what I'm doing. I'm going to do a Miranda and Subject Zero or Tali playthrough. Then one where I go solo.

yeah, i'm actually kind of happy the next game won't come out for a few years. it let's me appreciate this game for what it is instead of making things perfectly canon. when me3 comes out i'll just play all three how i want the story to go

Seeing how Ash handled Shep and how she don't want to leave everything behind to join again ... simple made me leave the planet with cold feelings towards my former LI.
After that scene only and email to make peace&love again? FU Ash. Join the crew again or be left behind. As she is not willing to join (cannot recruit), she doesn't want to know what's really happened... Pffff....

On that colony... that was a breaking scene, nothing else. She gave up, gone for someone else.
(Yeah, Shep was dead in the meantime, but that's nothing these days.)
Anyhow, Miranda is much better all around.

I'll roll a single non-import Shep to romance someone new, but for my main playthrough I'm sticking with Ash for a few reasons:



1) I think it's integral to the story and the way they're handling the love interests from the first game is really interesting. It's adding an element of mature conflict that has substance. It's the part of the story that isn't an easy "if you pick this dialogue choice you win" thing. There is no satisfactory conclusion and realistic drama which I really appreciate from the writers. You're essentially not with Ash at all in ME2, but it doesn't mean you don't care about each other and it doesn't mean you can just say "oh well" and move on to someone else. Or maybe you can, in which case I feel like it would be a waste of a really good storytelling opportunity.



2) From a role playing standpoint, not only does my Shepard love Ash (regardless of if things are happy between them or not) but he's also just not easily taken in by women. He's busy. He's focused. You have to be pretty special to get his attention. So while he may think Jack is interesting or Miranda has a great ass he's just not motivated to do anything about it.



and 3) Ash rocks.

 I liked Miranda better than Ash or the other LIs in 1 or 2, maybe because I'm a big Chuck fan, so hopefully there's some option to continue relationships with ME2 characters as well as ME1 ones. I haven't really seen any info on that though.

ash was my LI in the first game as well. however, when i bumped into ash after the attempt to save the terminus colony, she was rather hostile towards me. so, i said to hell with her (at least on my first play through) and went with Tali. but, the picture of ash on my desk has never been flipped over, at least as far as i can tell. but, no doubt ill do multiple play throughs with the various love interests in the game, and finally doing one where i dont cheat on ash.

It's as simple as this.....Ashley isnt "modeled" after a hot actress.....Miranda IS modeled after a hot actress........its as simple as that.  Team Miranda FTW:lol:

Though there will be downsides for "cheating" (I don't consider it cheating since both female ME 1 LI's hate or ignore you) I don't think Bioware will force you to give them up, rather it will probably make for hilarious confrontations that are always fun.

What about Liara? I went for Liara in the first game and I plan on staying loyal. I sure hope that I get paid back for that. XD

I'm actually hoping that there will be a chance to sort of "re-romance" them in ME3.  Whether you remain faithful or not, things are kind of rocky at the moment so it might be fun to try to reconcile in that way.  I would just HOPE that they'd make it a little more difficult for the folks who decided to get some tail on the side.

Tali, hands down, via knife to the chest. Now if you gave them both a team it would be on equal ground since we all know Tali's leadership abilities.

 I actually cheated just for the confronations.  I want to see who really "works"  for my heart.  Liara was good and all, and Ashley too, but Tali stood by my side to the bitter end.  The other two will have to really impress me.

It's also been two years, and a lot can change in two years. I am personally conflicted on the love interests but I will just do mutiple games for the next import.
