Has any one considered saving your favorite characters (or at least some of them) by moving them to the Sims 3? I happen to know that Joker and EDI survived and now live in Lunar Lakes. Actually Mod the Sims has a pretty good EDI and a good Liara can be found through a link on Youtube.
A way to have your cake and eat it too (sort of)

I've done that with Sims4. Shep and Kaidan live in Anderson's apartment. It's fun to play them, but their lives seems so ordinary and boring by comparison.

But now you have me thinking about it. Sims3 would have a lot more to do. More adventure and travel, less dish washing and bill paying. I may have to follow your suggestion.

I wonder how EDI would feel about now being a Sim. I mean, at the end of ME3, our resident Pinocchio-Lady FINALLY FELT ALIVE!!!! (ok, she had that particular epiphany about 10 times throughout ME3 but in the end, she says it with such conviction).
Now you degraded her to being something that has the very term for "simulated" as the basis of the name of her entire species?!? Do you realize what you took away from her? Just don't be surprised when you load up your game one day and find that Sim-EDI commuted suicide.

MrFob, well maybe, but she and Joker seem so happy together. Actually wouldn't it be nice to see a game like ME combined with the flexibility of Sims 3? (I have Sims 4, but find it limiting.) For example you can create your own Shepard, but look at what you can do to create a Sim. And extra casual wear etc. And the ease of mods.

Hmmm.... Do sims have self awareness? Kind of like Blade Runner, do replicants know they are replicants? Would simEDI be happier not knowing she's a sim (ST:NG episode Ship in a Bottle) or being fully self aware. She doesn't have much of a sense of humor, so the irony would be lost on her (although simJoker might get a laugh). Should we the sim-makers impose self awareness on her? Does that make us the reapers in Sim-Mass Effect?

That's why I never play the Sims. It's too grimdark for me in its implications.
