It's a quasi-medieval setting, so ... yes? Just to be glad they're not covered in horseshit.
I dunno. All that perfect skin and hair makes me think they take baths waaaay more frequently than medieval people, standard high fantasy setting or no.

I actually read a thing a bit ago that talked about how changing undergarments daily, even without regular bathing, reduced odors considerably. Also, while they didn't do the whole submerge in water type of bathing, there was scrubbing with cloths and such. So I'd imagine that that is the sort of daily routine that many Thedosians go through.
Yes, I do recall Dorian's banter, but I'm inclined to think he's exaggerating, because Dorian. Also, those circumstances -- camping, sweaty combat, etc -- apply to him too, so it's not like he's bathing regularly when they're out fighting bears and whatnot.
"One or two assassination plots" won't bring the Orlesian Empire over to the Inquisition's cause. Only resolving the civil war will do that.
Nah, not unless the Inquisitor hosted the quarreling parties to a neutral territory like Skyhold to resolve the issue. Even then giving the writers the opportunity to allow the player to get to know the sides on our terms, investigate them and maybe create tension by being tempted by each side or even persuading/betraying a side of our own.
Even then, we could still resolve/make our move at a wonderful ball held later. Like a multi-part story line or something. I don't know. It's not like we didn't have a war table mission to resolve an issue like this with current ruler of Ferelden and another faction. Something like precedence? Is that the word?
Of course, timed segways in a story mission and magical holla statues would be a better way to advance such a plot. But goodness, resolving a civil war at a dance does seem more plausible. The American Civil War ended with a barn dance too. Ole General Lee really threw down some straw that night! It was sure luck that General Grant could two-step a right-propper resolution while Abe Lincoln played harmonica.
I vote next time the studio uses an unusually large amount of assets on something like a Skyhold, base of operations hub, sells us on an entire organization of active world builders; we relegate it to cutscenes of waltzes, line dancing or scenes from Monty Python's Camelot!
