we can look at Halo 4 and get a pretty good idea of his writing capabilities, or lack thereof

True, but it was a different company with different priorities, and a franchise with different mechanics for storytelling.

Like I said, Schlerf's contributions could be awful.  But we just don't know yet.

It really does depend on vetting and execution. It's tough, being a writer in the end like that, you never know if an idea is good until it's out in the wild.

That's speculation on your part. Nothing more. Hudson gave us the entire trilogy. The good, the bad. He was in charge of it from the jump.

"Hudson" didn't give us anything, he directed the rest of the team in what THEY created. Casey Hudson isn't a writer.

Yep, Bioware is going under. I mean according to Wikipedia they have about 800 employees and now 2 have left in a short time, that leaves only 798 left to make games. Emergency anyone!?

Nobody said he was a writer. Nice try though.

Just to note in the omniglobalmegacorp I work in we experience around a 10% year turnover of staff, which is fairly standard in engineering apparently.

Which is not even close to being the point. Try again.

Why do children always put "hurr hurr nice try though" like they just won some game? I mean, if you want to look like a 12-year-old, then be my guest.

No matter who is and isn't working on this game, I'm pretty certain it'll still be the same kind of watered down swill EA usually puts out. You can't win with this company, folks.

The lulz are at your expense, I assure you. Wasting your time here just to crap on a product you supposedly have no interest in makes you the joke.

Ah, but that's where you're wrong Killroy. We haven't even got to the punchline of this joke yet. When this game comes out and is mediocre at best, when the butthurt starts to flow, Cinco will be laughing.

And while Cinco is laughing, EA will be laughing as well watching those duckets roll in from all the knobs who bought their latest dreck. And that's the biggest joke of all.

So let me get this straight. You're purpose here is wait around, for months, to observe disappointment? Wouldn't talking to your parents or lover be a more direct means of observation?

and this line of reasoning, boys and girls, is how you know trolls are stupid. especially the part where they convince themselves that dedicating their time to **** they don't care about is something to brag about.

Why would anyone who is a fan care if someone who was even tangentially associated with the craptastic ME3 endings left?

More's the better.

Still got one big one to go, however...

Ask yourself that if you were in the industry, and you went to a gathering of peers and everyone was casually comparing notes and exchanging rumors, if there is any banter about "how good the writing, direction and content of ME3 is, and especially it's endings."

EA stock tanked by fully a third to the tune of a billion plus in market cap following the ME3 endings fiasco.

I'm surprised, and it bodes ill for Andromeda, that anyone who was associated remains.

The only people that deserve full blame for the endings are Hudson and Walters. They wrote the ending themselves and let no one else look at it. Hudson is gone, Walters is lead writer now (The only reason why I can only assume Hudson shouldered most of the blame letting Walters get away unscathed).

All of that is bullocks. You just throw **** up on the wall and see if any of it sticks, huh? A billion dollars? Do you even math?

Actually, guys who are in the industry would cut ME3 a lot of slack, since most of its problems come from the deep hole ME1 and ME2 dug the series. ME3 didn't fix the problems, but it was a tough challenge.
