Hi,I'm at the Chapter 6 (in the mortal world of Dirge) of the game now,and I just realized my monk automatically locked to the Dawn Star romance! But I want to romance Sky. My question is,is it possible to romance Sky somewhere in the middle of the game without start completely all over again, coz I do have a whole bunch of Autosaves. Also, would being mean to Dawn Star end the romance possibility and start a new one with Sky? Coz I've been all friendly to her so far,and there seems to be no way to avoid the romance with her without being mean. Thanks for your time!
Is it too late to romance Sky in Chapter 6?

Are you playing as a male or female character? From what I understand, if you are male then either Dawn Star or Silk Fox are "preferred" and you have to consistently show no interest in either of them to get the Sky romance to trigger. If you are female, then you should be able to go back to an earlier save and basically just flirt with Sky at every opportunity.
Wait....I don't think Dawn Star is romance-able by female characters so you must be playing as male. In that case, see my comment above. ![]()

Got it! Thanks a lot~ yes I was playing as the male monk,I just finished the game as it is,romancing Dawn Star and all,coz Chapter 6 is too close to the end. I think this is all I need to know for the second playthrough...thanks again!

Yeah, Dawn Star and Silk Fox have to be closed out of their romances (Dawn Star's point of no return is at the discussion of Silk Fox's jealousy towards her after Zu disappears, and Silk Fox's is at her questioning which of her two identities is 'her') before you can romance Sky as a male PC. Also, if you've gotten to Sky's conversation of the Eternal Companions before closing out of their romances, you can't start a romance with him either.

Oh wow, this is really useful stuff! So it comes in orders of turn off Silk Fox first, then Dawn Star, and have the Eternal Companions conversation last with Sky...right? ![]()

More or less. I think Dawn Star and Silk Fox's conversations aren't dependent on when you have them, so much as you have them. But yeah, my very first playthrough (wow, that was almost ten years ago now... I'm old), I wanted to romance Sky and it didn't happen, so I made the effort to find out what went wrong and make sure it didn't happen again. So I've paid attention and learned all this.
Dawn Star is really tricky to figure out how to turn her down, and you might have to take some angrier dialogues just to be sure - I think there's like one gentle path and two or three harsh paths in how to turn her down, and they're not all at the same dialogue branch. They really seem to want to play up this childhood crush turned genuine romance thing. Comparatively, Silk Fox is easy - during that identity conversation, she will at one point ask about what your role will be in who she is and there's a clearly marked 'I will be your friend, I can be no more' choice and that's the end of it.

Ha,so Dawn Star did it before Ashley. That automatic, match making, hard to get out of...romance option for male characters. And as I watched on youtube, what's with that "fading into blackness" gay kiss with Sky,with DS and SF you get this long a$$ kiss while Sky's kiss has to be like that...it's good they fixed that gay romance problem in later games. Yeah, thankfully this game is not as long and complicated as DAO,so I'm up for that Sky challenge for a second walkthrough! Thanks for all the helps~

Yeah, the blackout is a kick in the balls considering the kisses that the m/f pairings got, but it WAS 2005, and the last character that BioWare had even tried having as a gay romance, Juhani in KOTOR, was almost cut out entirely just a couple of years prior, so it was probably the best they could expect at the time. Supposedly, somewhere out there, there's supposed to be a mod for the PC version, though I have no idea where you might pick it up.

Maybe because they made it while with 2K or while under 2K...I really don't know,do correct me if I'm wrong. But 2K's styles can be considered pretty "straight",like that Mafia 2 sh**,but I am deeply in love with their amazing Borderlands series...but anyway,EA is much more free for them to finally put the gay romances out in the sun,I guess....?? I really don't know,do ignore me if I'm talking gibberish here.
But the gay romance was really smart when DAO came out,it's really the icing on the cake for me...it's probably the first game other than The Sims 2 where you can have a gay man on man romance...I think. And I've never played KOTOR,I never even finished the whole Star Wars movie series,I don't know how to start...damn,I feel like an alien sometimes.
