I was recently told that in the last update that the drop rate of hakkon weapons was decreased to where you only have a 2% for your first and it decreases from there.  My memory was that it was 20% for the first and then drops down to 2% after you have a few.

 

As a person who has completed 200ish nightmare dragons without a hakkon drop yet (all mine were from the weekend chests) please tell me this isn't true. A 0.2% drop rate means I'll NEVER get my last two.

Without knowing the game mechanics, it sounds about right. Got my first two hakkons from dragons in less than 20 runs, then came the update. Since then nothing in 200ish runs, and got 2 from the store and 1 from weekend challenge.
So guess it is easier to farm old maps for gold, and sacrifice to RNGesus.

I thought it was 15% for your first weapon to drop from the dragon, but if you have one already, it drops to 7%. But, if you have 2 it would drop to 5%, 3 means a drop rate of 2%, and so forth.

Of the 5 I have I got 2 from dragons in over 600+ runs. Yay! Fun. Ugh.

Yeah I agree with this. This is the original, official information told by Luke. 

 

I think rumor goes that RNG from dragon is broken since the last patch or drop rate nerf or blah blah blah, is because too many people are getting Hakkons for free from victory chests, and then because they have a few hakkons in their inventory, they would of course experience a low Hakkon drop rate. 

 

Or it could be working as intended, idc.

I'm gonna go with this. It's just completely luck-based, non-progressive RNG designed with no respect for the player's time. But nah, better nerf AW.

 

I got my Hakkons quickly, yet had the worst luck with dwarf weapons. Just bad design choices all around.

I already have my 26's and 27's just missing 2 hakkons, the PI amulet and the bolt and rhyme... have everything else. (except of course the crescent shadow)

What level are bolt and Rime ?

Hakkon's are the least of your worries.....

I hate using Crescent Shadow with my templar because the projectiles always steal my Wombo Combo  But sadly the damage is too good to give up...
