Even though every time I go online and play, I find myself descending into a deeper sleep, I dread the day that EA/Ware decides to shut down the ME3 MP servers. With the advent of ME: Andromeda, I see this becoming more and more a reality. What are our options to relive the glorious ME3 MP days?

Unlikely that it ever will until the toasters take over or heat death of the universe, seeing as it doesn't run on dedicated servers. PSN, XBL and Nintendo may end support for the consoles it is on at some point, but it'll survive on PC.
Maybe then I can get around to these 200 or so back-logged games I have. Dead Space 3 is still in the wrapper....along with about 40 others. The reason I haven't bought a xbone or ps4 yet, is cuz I know I will just come right back here. (that and the fact there are maybe 7 games total in the new generation that interest me so far)
It's about time for this game to die actually.

I think XBL, PSN, and NN are likely to shut off the support in the near future. I feel that on PC, the chances of survival are higher, but what would matchmaking look like at that point? "Searching for games..." all the time? 
I'd like for this game to still be alive in some way shape or form. I love the MP classes that will eventually become inaccessible due to the MP shut down. Shepard can't snap freeze... 
QMR can get drunk and pretend to be the Normandy.
As a serious aside, I'm fairly certain that this has likely already happened in my lifetime, and I just don't remember it because no one knew what nerdshit I was on about. People have told me about some apparently hilarious car/ motorcycle impersonations I have no memory of, so it wouldn't be far removed.

Screw the haters. I loved Dead Space 3. Is it "survival horror"? No. But its a good and fun game. If story was an integral part of what made my gaming experience good then I probably wouldn't like Dead Space....its a bit out there for me, but I love the series.
I hear you on waiting on the consoles. For 2 years I looked at the PS4 and I was like "All these people want to get PS4 because sony told them to. But what are they playing? Theres no games!" I taked crap to all my PS4 friends when they came back and played PS3 games haha. I finally have one now and I love it, but I only own 4 games aside from PSN stuff. I miss some of the PS3 games for sure, but it is an undeniable upgrade and way better than PS3. I am happy with it even though there are things I hate about it.
On the point of the thread Sony stated they will be supporting PS3 for many years to come as far as PSN goes. If ME3 goes down it will be an EA thing. I was a pretty big Assassins Creed player. There is a dedicated fanbase of players who actually took the time to learn how much depth that MP had and how good it was. It's community was still going with 10 or so games a night when I left PS3. You can still play Revelations and AC3 MP too. AC3 was the best of all of them....it used to have more than even ACIV.
It would suck, but I think the game has been going long enough that no one could be mad at EA for closing it. I hope its up for 10 more years ....might not happen because EA is hurting for money and all.

As someone who played the multiplayer to Dragon Age. I have zero faith in this generation at Bioware. From top to bottom across the board. Even released with 3 maps.....THREE MAPS and only one was added after that.
Which is also why I will not be pre ordering....of course buying used after all of the other drama.
I will remember it as a thing was fun, and then wasn't fun, and then was fun again, and then wasn't fun again, but was definitely something that I spent a lot of time on.
Seriously though, ME3 MP wasn't really good but it was definitely enjoyable. For those who still regularly enjoy it, I hope it doesn't go offline anytime soon.
I was actually very very surprised when I fired ME3 back up a few weeks ago to find the MP still working and to still be able to find games in a matter of seconds. It's just still as addicting as always. Amazing.
And I gotta agree with The Nightman Cometh. This present generation of consoles has **** all good games. The only one that I have found worth my while is Witcher 3 (and it's bloody amazing). On top of that, paid online, sub 60 fps on almost every game.
I'm going to abandon my current gen console and focus on PC.
I got my first Xbone 3 days ago! (Yay!) I finally enjoy games, that I would normally not play on 360. SW: Battlefront, I haven't even played through the DA:I campaign, I'm a huge Doom fan, Doom 4 comes in May and after a few months, there comes ME:A (or not) and the cycle begins again. in 2021 I will realize, that I will have been put 2200 hours in a damn space magic game and I'm 38 years old. **** me.
Well they said they keep the server running for as long as people play, so i guess they take it down when we die of old age.
That is if we have not handed the tradition of ME3MP'ing down to our kids and grandkids that is.
It's about time for this game to die actually.
Why? Anyone who doesn't want to ply doesn't have to. If it brings pleasure to some, why shouldn't it keep going?
Also, EA, despite all the hating, has a policy of keeping online MP games alive for a long time, generally well past the release of the follow-up game. So I don't know where the idea comes from that ME3MP will shut down when ME:A is released.
I'm sure they will shut down the servers, before I max out my manifest.
But keep calm, ... there are 141 UR left.
When it's eventually gone I'll look back on a period of my life when common wisdom would dictate that I should have been occupying my time (2.5k hours and rising) in a more constructive way. Bollocks to that. I was having a blast. 
It probably could have died months back. I was surprised I maxed my manifest on xbox prior to support shutting down - that was two years ago and there's still tons of people playing. There are fewer on PC so far, but still enough that finding a quick game isn't difficult.
See you all in ME:A MP - hopefully it feels similar!
