The only thing that reminds me of Star Wars is the Aurebesh on the fifth picture.
By the way, nice click bait title.

I never played it. Why am I posting here?
I'm going to be surprised if they aren't shut down.
Interesting, but wrong area to be posting.
I wasn't first and most likely wont be last BUT I was here. ![]()
Seems like even if they succeed it will be PC-only. ![]()
Are they allowed to? Would they be hit with a cease and desist?
If it's ever finished, I'll be excited. BioWare isn't doing a remake, so this is the only one we have a chance to play. Who knows if KotOR 3 will happen, but perhaps this will increase excitement for it.
Clearly EA has brainwashed several individuals commenting in this thread into thinking that something cool has to cost money.
While extremely ambitious, when it comes right down to it, this is nothing more than a mod for KOTOR. It requires the original game to play and will cost nothing. The fact that this content will be a completely free addition to the already existing game and will require a legitimate copy of the game to use said content is why there are no legality issues here. This isn't the first time something like this has been done, either. Morrowind was completely re-made using the same engine that powers Oblivion by the good people behind the TESRenewal Project and is now being completely re-made again using the same engine that powers Skyrim. Feel free to do a quick Google search for "Morroblivion" or "Skywind" to find out more about those two projects.
Poem Studios' work on this game thus far looks amazing. Based on that and the commentary at their website (http://www.apeirongame.com/), it appears to me that they have an excellent handle on this project.
@Draninus
Brainwashed? Really?
Surely you cannot fault people for expecting a fan-made project of this scope to have troubles, when so many grand attempts haven't succeeded in the past.
Those that did tended to take an incredibly long time. Gizka's KOTOR 2 restoration mod took almost 9 years to finish. Black Mesa Source took 8 years to before it was released in an "incomplete" state, and 5 years after that it's STILL incomplete. And these are counted among the SUCCESSES.
However long it takes, definitely will wait for this mod. ![]()
