I do my best to stone fist them, but normally they take less damage from me ( high resistance? ) and are normally the last around. Which usually means i cannot generate a Barrier ( even if i do they usually Despell instantly anyways ). I can normally clutch round 5 threatening when my team is down unless those darn rogues are in the matchup.

If you see a sexy hand portrait or Unstoppable force title, that's typically a good indicator of strong player because they are Heartbreaker achievements.

True for the most part.

But it's Russian roulette out there on PS4 sexy hand portraits.

I've seen a fair amount that get wrecked on Perilous and play lv20s in Perilous.

@OP

Dude, arcane warrior OP. Low promotions just use Fade Cloak and Frost Step. Don't need anything else for Threatening and Perilous. Here is a demonstration on how to play. No promotions needed. I used a Heart of Pride. But anything >= Dragon Staff you should be fine.

No Storm Pact Belt:

Once you have a storm pact belt perilous is easy mode.

Level 2: Fade Shield

Level 3: Guardian Spirit

Level 4: Gathering Storm

Level 5: Combat Clarity

Level 6: Upgrade Chain Lightning(Arcing Surge)

Level 7: Rejuvenating Barrier

Level 8: Fade Cloak

Level 9: Upgrade Fade Cloak(Decloaking Blast)

Level 10: Fade Step

Level 11: Upgrade Frost Step(Frost Step)
Level 12: Mind over Matter(Bear Mauls the Wolves = 1 Damage from Behind)

Level 13: Strength of Spirits

At this point you are without a doubt ready to crush Perilous. It may be advantageous to take Mind over Matter earlier depending on how many points after a match ect...

You can take Peaceful Aura if you want. Whether you go for Conductive Current or Static Charge is up to you. I prioritize Static Charge.

What exactly does this belt do?

Double your electric damage and hence double the barrier (for AW).

Large boost to lightning damage, but it takes 75% of your health.

75% of my health...? Jeebus. Does the barrier cap or is it technically infinite?

Judging by one of the passive "increase barrier by 50%" that it does cap. Double damage sounds delightful though.

Effectively infinite barrier until you meet electric immune enemies.

Even your basic attacks are sufficient to keep up your barrier, so there is just no way of dying below NM for AW.

I'm assuming with a good weapon? My basic attacks can't even hold a Barrier lol

Yeah, since the amount of Barrier generated with Fade Shield is dependent on your damage output.  Adding Spirit Runes is helpful for the meantime.

For right now, I'd suggest focusing more on using your abilities to keep your Barrier up.  As has been stated, Chain Lightning and Stonefist are the best to use.

I am new as well.  I had this game for 360 but decided I wanted to wait to play it til I had a next-gen. I have treated this game much like the me3mp I am so fond of.  I just made as many armors as I could to unlock all the classes asap. Making the loot table smaller, because those armors are only obtained once.  Next I started crafting higher level versions of armors on classes I enjoy playing to survive easily on threatening/and not die instantly on perilous.

Recently I have started finding better weapons and accessories it would seem, or I was simply lucky over the last week, than in the last month.  Im at about 300k gold collected and in the 300s for prestige, I also made a effort to try out every class and do those experienced warrior/mage/rogue challenges, that armor has certainly helped too.

I know everyone said Stonefist, but you really don't need it until you hit Nightmare when things are immune to lightning.   The problem with AW's survival in threatening and perilous is probably because you did not take Peaceful Aura.   Let that archer who thinks not taking longshot is safe from aggro takes the aggro.  Send those 100 assassins after the saarabus who is doing her bacon barrage back there in the beginning of the zone.  And if you are soloing.. well you need a better weapon. :P

Try to make a new account without any promotions and then you will see why this might not work for a new starters...

When I'm fortunate to get an armor for another class they seem to give me more armor of said class. I think i have 4 Legion, 3 reavers, 4 archers and what not.

Side Note: i unlocked drake for my mages, i think that should unlock them all since i do technically have armor for them.

I should have stated new players are exempt from that critique
