The Geodes are more of a pain to farm, in my opinion.

aye. anet hae done a fine job of leaving dry top dry of players. At least the times I have been.

\the horrendous storyline is too stagnant for me to be moved to repeat it, but I suppose I must If I am to finish this damned dagger before christmas.

So far all groups seem unreachable except by shortcut to specific topic.

Dry top activity can still be heavy enough to reach maximum tier but that is rare outside of the weekend at this stage. It does help to wait for a Maguma Wastes related daily though.

I got around 300 geodes yesterday in about three or so hours so I am happy enough. But dry top is a pretty miserable experience.

Do you mean the navigation bars on the top right or something else?

The collections never end.. back to fractals I go.

Apparently I must bottle the Swampman's gas...

There is apparently no end of fractals I need visit for various silly reasons. Shame, I had been enjoying the collection as something to do alone, fill my time.  give me short bursts of interest in an area on the map. Now it is all, find four people to fulfil your own selfish ends. Not once, not twice but 6 times.

Yeah, Astralaria was the same, but I ended up liking Fractals (against all odds), so ultimately I didn't mind so much. At least the collections don't seem to require any higher level stuff, so there's no need to gear up, and PUGs are easy to find if guildies aren't available.

incinerator gave me a few world bosses and jumping puzzles but now it is all go to fractals to get to the right depth of the ocean.  to compress some gel for no reason. I appreciate they are all very different to the usual clovers etc but man this fractals thing is a pain in the butt.

the pieces are godawfully written, a kind of Step:A, go to step X to make step A but we will tell you how to make X on step T. I n the hint we will also allude to needing step P. A being refereed top as caustic gel, X is cryo dust and T is explosive powder. to add to the confusion.

It is the same for every damn piece.

Yeah, I've mostly just relied on external "shopping lists" (like https://www.gw2bltc.com/)so I can find out what I can do beforehand to prepare for the next step (if it's a step that requires materials, for instance). In-game info is - as always with Anet - woefully lacking.

I don't like to spoil the surprise so I can always be disappointed.

For those who don't know standing on the raindeer frozen statue cube  and activating it is surprisingly fun as and end to a jp.

Shattered Skies on steam looks relatively interesting.

Speaking of which team 17 are having a massive sale, specifically worms.

If you have never played worms it is a turn based remotely amusing death match between 8 or more worms. demo available.

Anet may have finally suceeded pushing me into quitting gw2.

I'm not even remotely interested in playing WvW, so now I discover the spark collection has been a massive waste of time, no alternative recipe  if I want to finish.

I was puzzled for a bit, but then I remembered the change where you can no longer buy Gifts of Battle with Badges of Honor. They must be REALLY desperate to push more people into WvW.

they claim wvw is their fastest growing segment.

If pve is their red-headed step child why waste time making it at all? They continually want to present the image they despise pve and shove people off into their shitty, badly made game modes.

They like to give the air anything they do for it is simply necessary, seeming to resent needing it to survive.

So, Bioware is closing down the forums starting August 26.

Wow. End of an era, to say the least.

I saw. :( The end of an era indeed. I started off on the forums way WAAAAAY back during the NWN1 days. Even though those got shunted to legacy status when the DA/ME generation rolled around, at least the forums were still around.

Makes me wonder if eventually the same thing will happen to the GW2 forums. What is it about devs today where they seem so averse to their own forums?

Yeah, I hail from the NWN1 days as well. It's been a long road, and I can quite truthfully say that my life would look entirely different if it hadn't been for these forums. I wouldn't be living in Denmark, for one, or be in the relationship I am today. I'll be sad to see this place go, even though it's not what it was in its prime. :/
