So I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 Tablet, I decided to try installing a few games on it to see how it would handle some light gaming for when I travel (and I have a big trip coming up next month).
It has a bay trail z3745 processor. Nothing fancy but surprisingly capable compared with intel mobile chips of yore. Anyway I started with older, simple games - Original Fallout games, baldurs gate, some point and click stuff like Broken sword. All good fun. Then I thought, well, maybe Knights of the Old Republic... installed and it worked OK. I turned down the resolution to get a smooth frame rate, but honestly it ran fine.
Then I thought... Mass Effect. Maybe...
Installed ME1, and it runs OK. Haven't gotten too far into the game, but seems to be doing well. Resolution is down at 800x600, but that looks fine on a 10" screen.
Then I tried ME2, and it is tantalizingly close to being playable. Again at 800x600, but it looks fine. The frame rate in the first mission (Rescue Joker) is great. In the next one though, on the Cerberus base, things get just a little too sluggish to be enjoyable.
I have searched around and haven't found any performance tweaking guides for ME2, most of the time now people just talk about enabling HD Textures or ENB where I kind of need to go the other direction.
Has anyone else tried this? Or does anyone have an old tweak guide for getting a little more performance out of the game.
