So, what you're trying to say is that Cora is a blonde bimbo?

Back on topic.   I think he's shooting directly from the hip and not even knowing whether or not the person is being direct with him.  We're so thirsty that any news is good news.

EDIT :  There's a youtube vid out there from early on the stages of Andromeda's development where they first showed off the Mako.  It was at San Diego ComicCon, I believe.  This was before they could even talk about the name, so expect a lot of "I can't talk about that." However, there is a question in there that's relevant.  It is something along the lines of, "We've heard that there will be no loading screens on next gen consoles?  Is that true?"  The guy at BioWare does his best to answer him saying they're relatively new and they'll just have to wait and see.  Well, it looks like we've seen, or those special select few have seen.

I have no reason to doubt you. At the same time, I have no reason to believe you. Either way, we'll know soon enough. Nothing of what you said seems unreasonable, except for the load screens. Frostbite 3 always seems to be heavy on load screens, so I'm skeptical as to whether MEA has rectified that or not.

I don't really care about Squad AI as it has always been worthless and I'm sure I'll have to solo everything on Insanity like I did in ME1-3.

Did you even read the edit I made?  Did you even search out the video?

You couldn't read what I wrote.

We've already been well exposed to the different kinds of Asari.  It's time for the other races to get theirs at the expense of a squad spot for an Asari if need be.

Your I want them back because I like blue girls idea fails to convince me otherwise.

so have Krogan, Drell, Humans, Salarians, Quarian and Turian...but God forbid the devs don'the give them a precious Squaddie spot right? And why because of how Asari are represented, because they are a trope? Blue (rather than green) spacebabes for the male audience?...guess what? 90% of the alien races are a trope and ZOMG Drell (thane especially) were MADE to appeal to women directly.

I actually LIKE Asari and would gladly sacrifice any other race for an Asari Squaddie tyvm

What is your point? I saw this footage when comic con was happening.

Look at the hardware and the engine. I have never played a Frostbite 3 game that wasn't heavy on load screens (I own a lot of them), Dragon Age Inquisition included. I will be surprised if MEA significantly reduces the amount of load screens. It's possible, but no other game on Frostbite 3 has done that yet, not even the recently released Star Wars Battlefront.

That is my concern as well.

Awesome eye-candy from the FB engine, which is what Bio keeps flogging, comes at a price. High resolution textures = large files. Unless you can afford 40-50GB of data on a SSD drive, be prepared to get a coffee while you are in an elevator... :(

Yep. The only engine to really blow me away by having really small load screens, if any at all, was RED Engine 3 for TW3. I don't know how CDPR does it, but TW3 is a technical masterpiece.

For Frostbite 3, graphical fidelity comes at a price, largely loading assets and how long it takes. If MEA comes anywhere close to being as pretty as the in-game trailer they released last year at E3, that sucker is going to have big load screens. Unless BioWare just heavily overhauled the engine with the help of DICE to change how assets are loaded, I'm not expecting fast load screens.

Right, but did you even watch the video?  Games that come out later in the cycle of the console are better prepared for what the console has to offer.

Please, no heavy handed "humans are the real monsters" message. It's not really any better than "humans are special."

Given Bioware'so propensity for over compensating on feedback, i'd say it is a given.

I don't think you understand. Console hardware is stagnant. The only thing that "changes" is Microsoft and Sony intentionally prevent developers from using all of the performance of the machines early in the cycle to provide a bit of longevity. It's not as much of a game changer as you might imagine.

What matters here is the engine and how it loads assets. What Frostbite 3 has traditionally done is it loads everything immediately instead of seamlessly while you play, so the game doesn't suffer from texture pop in (Skyrim and Fallout 4 are perfect examples of games where you will see assets being loaded in as you explore the world).

Unless BioWare (with the help of DICE) has overhauled how Frostbite 3 loads assets in the game, DO NOT expect a change in load times. 90% of what BioWare said at Comic Con was typical PR to not make any promises about the game and staying as vague as they possibly can.

hey if the feedback I heavy enough that people testing dislike the complications of the no no loading screens set up then maybe Bioware will desist.......you know like when they listened about how idiotic the ending to ME3 was and they swallowed their pride and gave us a full rewrite......oh wait.

What are you talking about? The elevator load screen in ME1 was the most requested feature fans wanted to see return.

Now if that's how MEA handles load screens, I'M ON BOARD!!!

Can that be proven?

The long elevator rides became a joke in the gaming community. I can understand why a few people like it, but a major loading time for me is not justified by the minimal immersion some people think elevator rides bring. In-universe news and dialogue between squadmates might be other things people would bring up defeding the elevator rides, but both of them can be achieve without it.

Andromeda is an opportunity for humanity to explore a new galaxy.  Your beloved Asari are older than Matriarch Benezia.

On a serious note... Is a standard load screen, like the million that are in DAI (which we are most likely getting), really that much better than an elevator ride? I'm not even sure why people complained about the elevator load screen. Better than looking at a progress bar.

I never saw how elevator rides help with immersion. They only worked because the ME1 Citadel was reduced to the size of an office building. Of course, this is only a theoretical objection since ME3 fell into that hole without implementing elevator rides

yes and to argue our view on it with alien perspective companions...like Asari. Possibly a LI Asari for battle couple purposes.

You have to admit realizing mid game that we are the evil space nazis would be a nice twist.

My reaction to this revelation would be obvious: I smite the savages as the cosmic imperative demands and reap the spoils of the remains of their "civilization". The ewoks are dead. Everyone goes home. The PC gets a shiny medal for ensuring the continued survival of the dominant species of the universe. Cue credits.

Me too. My dad also works for Nintendo. He sent me this little gem that was cut content from Twilight Princess. Enjoy.
