Yeah, we had Steve Blum, now we need the Northman.

Be inquisitive! What kind of planet was he fighting? Did he have a good look at the ship? Did it travel the way shown in the E3 trailer? Was the level he played linear or open?
I just want to read stuff about Andromeda!

I can answer a couple of those. He made it sound like you DO indeed travel as you saw in the trailer (the interface tho he said was not exactly like that but you DO travel from plane to planet and system to system in real time). No he did not get a good look at the ship minus the CIC and the Cargo bay where you get into the Mako/shuttle for the drop. The level he was playing was not open, he made it clear there was an objective but then again he might not have even bothered to explore you know?Be inquisitive! What kind of planet was he fighting? ME1 and ME2 writer Chris L'Etoile (aka stormwaltz) on Corporate art decisions (and N7 branding) trumping his design for legion:
"The truth is that the armor was a decision imposed on me. The concept artists decided to put a hole in the geth. Then, in a moment of whimsy, they spackled a bit Shep's armor over it. Someone who got paid a lot more money than me decided that was really cool and insisted on the hole and the N7 armor. So I said, okay, Legion gets taken down when you meet it, so it can get the hole then, and weld on a piece of Shep's armor when it reactivates to represent its integration with Normandy's crew (when integrating aboard a new geth ship, it would swap memories and runtimes, not physical hardware).
But Higher Paid decided that it would be cooler if Legion were obsessed with Shepard, and stalking him. That didn't make any sense to me -- to be obsessed, you have to have emotions. The geth's whole schtick is -- to paraphrase Legion -- "We do not experience (emotions), but we understand how (they) affect you." All I could do was downplay the required "obsession" as much as I could."
You can find that and more here:
http://forum.bioware...e-geth-and-ais/
or here:
https://web.archive....e-reapers.4229/
This is one example of many I could provide. There's a lot out there.
What so now concept artists are EA infiltrators moving through Bioware ranks imposing the WILL OF EA? Seriously?
This isn't even an example of EA micromanaging what you are describing is standard STUDIO decision making.
'Golly Gee people Concept artists impose their Visual interpretation of a character on a writer. Proof positive of EA micromanagement. Golly What a discerning eye you have to see the corporate shenanigans of EA by employing concept artists to create a VISUAL picture of a character. MICROMANAGING AT ITS WORSE!!'
LMFAO.
Gosh well then what about the lot higher paid person imposing their will? Well you mean like a project director employed by bioware or the department head of the visual side of things making a decision to oh i don't know make decision about the visual aspects of the game? Where is there ANY evidence that this is EA?
I mean seriously this is what people think is critical thinking?
But fair enough this could just be a poor example...
Please you said, "This is one example of many I could provide. There's a lot out there." So provide these example that show EA is micromanaging. It isn't micromanaging when a fraking concept artist in your own fraking studio actually create visual art for a writer's character. It is NORMAL development. And you do realize that a studio will have department heads paid more than other people right? managers get more money please tell me this is a concept you grasp. And there higher paid individuals will become the final arbitrators in disputes on what direction a character should go not the writer and this is the NORMAL fraking operating procedure for a development company.
What did you honestly think the writer was in charge of development? Including the visuals? lol.

Hopefully they have a good explanation for how this isn't lore-breaking, assuming the game doesn't take place in the year 30,532 AD and is actually a direct continuance of the timeline in the 2100s. The fact that there is a Mako means that tech in the game isn't that far advanced.

Wasn't the decision to make legion have N7 armour and be obsessed with Shepard made by BioWare? Specifically Mac Walters? It worked btw Legion would have sucked if he were a regular Geth platform, they don't even speak a language organics can understand until ME3 and even then you have to enter a 3d world made of cubes.
Its a bit rich to blame all that on EA, it was BioWare writing that did the damage by the end of ME2 (which resulted in the game falling apart during 3.)
And if EA were really to blame with all that's wrong with Mass Effect why aren't they destroying every other franchise under their wing?
Oh, right. It's a conspiracy.

I will bite the bait and treat this seriously for few seconds.
Ok lets say somehow your friend seriously got to eat slice of upcoming game and he/she can't tell how to not compromise some EA/BW employee in here. Still despite that your friend could have provided proof of their claim, few pics, videos....in another words actual proof to their word!
So until none of this happens, until you or your "friend" give any proof about this I will just put this into "I saw flying purple elephant" category and insert random cat gif.

To placate any zealous mods, even EA has admitted that "they can do better" and that they've been making mistakes. And they did have a solid and critically acclaimed release with DAI. But...
...as for those mistakes:

oh lord and admit Caseys and Mac screwed the pooch sideways? NEVER!If legit, I bet that the synthetic will be an Andromeda native, and that this somehow is important to the plot. After all, if organics/synthetics were not or had not been in conflict in Andromeda in the absence of Reaper involvement, then it would totally invalidate the Catalyst's claims.
And Bioware wont have that.

You haven't got proof he's lying, so you're back to the starting point, where you give the little man his share of benefit of doubt/confidence. And actually he hasn't said anything so unbelievable to be considered even nearly impossible.

Do I believe the source? Well he WAS inexplicably hooked up with free copies of pre-release games at least a handful of times recently thanks to his "benefactor" so I have no reason to disbelieve right now.
