A Paragon is initially dismissed as "weak" and has a harder time getting along with the Krogan and some Turians and Humans, but in the end a Paragon enables the Krogan to not only survive but THRIVE in peace.  A Paragon is much more inclined to saving both the Quarian AND Geth, as well as getting them to make nice.

(A Renegade can pull it off too, but many of the prerequisite decisions require Paragon leanings.)

A Paragon sees the value in other people, and that species don't need to be divided against each other.

They're the ones who refuse to compromise on principles because they recognize that the principles are the foundation for anything worth keeping and preserving.

A Paragon proves time and again just how wrong the Reapers are, because not only are you defying them conventionally, you're also proving their whole M.O. to be flawed from the start.

So while the Renegade ends up losing in very way that counts, the Paragon wins in every way that matters.

Well, there's nothing said about peace with the Krogan, even if there's the general indication that Wrex will be more peaceful than Wreav. But asking a Krogan to be peaceful would be like asking a lion to be vegetarian. It wouldn't work. Maybe the renegade option to sabotage the genophage cure is the better one.

Personally, I think paragons are too optimistic. :P

Neither. I never play by one set of rules or tendencies in template fashion. Not that I'm knocking it, but I tend to make each decision individually. Sometimes there's something I'm trying to accomplish, and other times it's whim. But I never have the same play through twice.

There is one exception. I do the final choices on Jacob's loyalty mission the same way every time. No way I'm missing that haymaker. One of the funniest scenes in the entire trilogy.

Definitely renegade. Paragon is too idealistic.

Binary morality is unrealistic anyway - you can't have objectively "good" and "bad" decisions in any real context. The Witcher does the whole morality thing much better IMO.

i completed all the games twice now. Second time being with the DLC and playing as a renegade. I have to say it is really satisfying with the interruptions, especially when you punch that reporter twice lol. Not only that but I think it makes for a better ending.....

Paragade ftw. Prefer having a mixture, best of both worlds.

Currently playing a Paragon ME2 runthrough and missing all the renegade interrupts. They're SO fun. Especially headbutting a Krogan and shooting Donavan Hock's precious vase.

Renegade is my fave. I just feel like a bad person if I don't do paragon first. :D

Paragade. More freedom, better and more involved - and consistent - RP prospects, more varied and thematic gaming experience.

I play Paragon, but there are some Renegade choices and interrupts that I always take: headbutting Gatatog Uvenk ("This human understands!"), incinerating the Weyrloc Clanspeaker, buying a round for the grunts and finishing Vega's cheer ("Damn few, and they're all dead!"), shooting Udina, punching Han'Gerrel, stabbing Kai Leng... maybe a few others I'm forgetting.

I do all of those too as a Paragon, and especially during Garrus' recruitment mission in ME2 and I love doing the "there's a bomb!" Renegade choice in Thane's loyalty mission. It's so funny!

Sometimes I like being Renegade without the interrupt. There's always alternate scenes and alternative response which make replaying it fun. Sometimes I skip the renegade with Kai Leng because I didn't like how flimsy the sword shatter with Shepard's palm. During the scene with Han'Gerrel, watching Shepard struggle from punching him is interesting since it shows a degree of restraint and instead she look at him in the eye and chastised him like a child. Then the scene at Nassana's tower where she pushed the mercenary to the wall, its far more frightening when she push the merc to the glass and it cracked. I could hear him pee, lol.
