People who actually would colonize a world?
"Frontiersman" and their skill with a "sniper rifle" or "biotics" would be next to pointless when compared to their skill repairing the water purifier, the air filtration, rationing food stores and organizing exploration expeditions for resources (which is where your character should come in).
My guess - there will be a default male and female and they will be soldier. I don't usually play the default, but they always want to do something so the new player can jump right in and start shooting things instead of taking time to develop their own character. Just my guess, could be wrong.

Most likely since it was the most played class in ME3.
My favorite is soldier, but I do like playing as an adept and engineer as well.

ME:A is not going to be about repairing water purifiers, so this isn't going to be a problem.
And when you are on a dangerous alien frontier there are usually also things that need shooting, so shooters are probably just as needed as fixers.
