Not sure where all the other romance threads are, but I figured I would get my thoughts out there on this one. (First time post as well, so HELLO! HOW IS EVERYONE!? No idea where an intro thread is)

Anyways, I always thought it would be cool to romance other species. I am so glad that they made this an option in the ME universe. However in ME:A, not only am I happy to just know that there will be LBGT options (like there always has been for the ME universe in some fashion), I am happy that there will be new eyes on the whole project. With that hope in my heart, I think it would be absolutely cool to romance, as weird as it is but it is true, a krogan. Maybe a Salarian. Or perhaps a gay Turian. We get a hint of this existing in ME3 when Shepard runs by a customs desk and a man is asking about his husband on Palaven. We also see this in DA:I. So while I am excited for the main story, I am also excited for this one and what the possibilities will hold for the fans.

Andromeda is about survival, about creating a new world for us to live in. And for that, BioWare should only have straight romances in this game, and only with other humans.

That is a very ignorant and homophobic comment. You can't force people to be straight, marry someone of the opposite sex and have kids. Even LGBT couples can have children of their own e.g. Surrogate mothers (present day), future... test tube grown babies, frozen fertilised eggs that with have an exponential growth rate to establish a colony - a good amount of these people will not be straight. AND they don't have to be human to establish a colony

...they are a minority. Making a minority group the majority is illogical. It accomplishes nothing except blatantly shoving an agenda down everyone's throats.

I'm not saying have everybody bisexual or having just homosexual characters. Even non romancable characters should be able to express their sexuality without "shoving an agenda down everyone's throats". What I am saying is to have more than just one lesbian option, ME - Traynor, DA:I - Sera or gay man that can be romanced, ME - Cortez, DA:I - Dorian. There needs to be more variety. There are about 7.4 billion people on Earth and at least 1 billion of them are LGBT so this needs to be reflected without controversy

I'd like it if one of the characters who are a Love Interest are demisexual.

I'd also like romances where sex is either optional, left ambiguous, or confirmed as not part of the romance

Why is everyone on the Ark telling everyone about their sexuality? I have friends whose sexuality is unknown to me. I don't give half a crap about the sexual makeup of the Ark's crew. There's no point to it aside from, yes, shoving an agenda down the player's throat. And who is it for, exactly? If you're playing a BioWare the odds are already good that you're not bothered by homosexuality and if you're a homosexual playing a BioWare game you already bought the damn thing.

I think Bioware should have no romances, just to make the fanbase salty.

Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything, this is a video game, it's your choice to play the game, it's also your choice to if you want to get into a romantic relationship with a character.

In Andromeda we're going to be playing as a character who is part of a group that escaped from the Reapers and to go off into another galaxy, I'm pretty certain they're not to waste time stocking the escape vessel with frozen eggs and test tube babies.

And the aliens can establish their own colony far away from where Humans are making their own.  Or they can all die, either way, we don't need alien romances in Andromeda.

1. People, aren't just going to escape the Milky Way without supplies e.g. Food, water, genetic diversity (aliens) and a back up plan for jump starting colonisation...
2. It hasn't been confirmed if we are running from the reapers. Proof that isn't the case comes from Chris wyne when he states that, original squad mates won't make an appearance as it would make much sense. Probably referring to the timeline in which andromeda takes place so it's safe to say that this game will take place much dirtier into the future than the reaper war in me:3
3. If there is an "ark" there is undoubtedly going to be more than just humans on it. Why isolate? If they all work together they will prosper and advance much quicker than they ever would on their own. Also they would have stronger defences if attacked...
4. Also your view is now becoming pretty racist :///

Reported.

From where this innocent, new-to-forums thread has started to where it has gone, I agree.
