Instead, the races don't introduce any new concepts, nor do they challenge old ones. It's just a moronic repetition of two dimensional personality types with zero room to extrapolate anything new about the alien races we meet. Have we ever been involved in the Quarians' problems with health and immune system? Has it been discussed how we could develop technology to help them replace their suits with a more convenient outfit? Do we engage in conversation with Krogans as to how radiation could be diminished on their planet so as to heal the biosphere and make vegetable life viable again, enabling crops and animals to reappear? What about the Salarians' short life span? Haven't they studied the Krogans so as to develop a biological weapon? How come they didn't learn how to adapt the genetic traits responsible for the Krogan's longevity (they live hundreds of years) to their own DNA? Aren't they clever scientists or what? And how come Shepard can't even discuss that with them? With the lead scientist of the biological weapon project? In their secret Krogan research base?

I agree with the general idea though to be fair all of that is mostly because Shepard is just a glorified human grunt set out to deal with the Reapers, with no relation or reason to go out of their way to solve everyone's problems, say curing the Krogan for example is just a mean to gain their support against the reapers. It would get tiresome real fast if we go around every planet solving problems that have been haunting them for years or even generations but we were able to influence because reasons.

Yes, Shepard is N7 Spectre not a divine being.

I can go either way when it comes to the Asari, but I dont want to play a ME game that lacks Quarians and Geth.

I doubt we'll see any geth and I'm not sure we'll see any quarians either. Especially if the ARK launches at the beginning of ME3, those two groups are in the middle of a war. Nobody trusts the geth until Shepard changes everybody's perception at the end of ME3 and the quarian have largely been isolationist staying with their own kind with only their young traveling to do pilgrimages.

Truth be told, I'm not sure I'd want to see either unless BioWare can justify with an explanation why they are in MEA. We will obviously see the council species since the ARK was likely funded by the council.

Really? then the Human Master Race need to use all the resources/funds we have and give it to them vagrants in order to turn all Quarians into romanceable blonde aliens.

yep. This was apparently one of the concepts created by the team according to Matt Rhodes's blog, and matches the final design they went with the most.

Spoiler

^tbh that's way better than the final. It still probably isn't "alien" enough for some people, but if they'd have rendered that in the game instead of a lazily done photoshop of a supermodel, it'd have probably been much better received. With those resources we got Chobot's bloated face instead, tho.

This is complete speculation on the fanbase's part. All we know for certain at this point is that humans and at least 1 krogan are involved in the project. It could be a solely human effort, or one involving anyone, and could launch at anytime in the series prior to ME3,  Rannoch or the clusterfuck of an ending.

The quarians are actually a logical candidate, since they know far more about how to make something like an Ark project work than anyone else given 3 centuries experience of living in space and improvising resources. A repurposed Liveship with a rotating skeleton crew, some tech added to stave off the drive discharge problem, and possibly stasis pods added would be perfect considering they are readily available (compared to contriving an entirely new design from nowhere), entirely self sustaining and house tens of thousands of people. The quarians also have a huge incentive to participate pre ME3, as they were already sending out long term scouting missions to look for new worlds the quarians could settle on ala the Cyniad from Ascension. It isn't a huge jump to conclude they'd see Andromeda as an oppourtunity in this regard if the option presented itself, and the other species certainly have use for their expertise even if they don't like them. Boom, quarians are intergral to the project.

It wouldn't take that many contrivances to include the geth either. Even though they certainly weren't doing anything with the organics other than killing them, no one really has any idea what else they were doing for 3 centuries prior to ME3. They primarily live in space, and are functionally immortal so wouldn't mind a centuries long trip. For all we know, they could have sent ships to Andromeda ages ago and we run into them either there or en-route. This would also mean we get the real geth instead of ME3's Pinnochio Code abominations.

Every time I finish recruiting the Quarians and the Geth I kick Jessica Chobot off the ship, I like to think my Shepard throws her out the airlock.

dem 5 war assets tho....

nah, you're right, totally worth it. I've nothing against Chobot herself but that character was a pointless addition to an already rushed game.

I wouldn't be surprised if the ark has Geth Programs, & Platforms on board as an Advanced V.I. to manage the Ark on it's trip, & it would kind of funny if the Alliance/ Council hid the fact they used Geth as the ship's V.I. to get other species to go Andromeda, without being suspicious of the ark's V.I. & I wouldn't put it past them to pull a stunt like that either.

But you don't understand. I don't like Asari. Therefore they should be removed. Your like for Asari shouldn't be a factor in their removal. I don't like them and that is all that matters.

I just asked out of curiosity if they have an unusual or rare genes with their physiology. (Already knew the package thing, they called them futanari. Well the NSFW version anyway. Ahem.......)

It's actually a good question considering all the examples of parthenogenesis on Earth evolved from ancestors that had males and used standard sexual reproduction, to my knowledge. Would explain them having pronounced female secondary sexual characteristics in a manner that makes more scientific sense than "cuz hawt alein babes", if they were vestiges of needing to attract mates of a dimorphic species at some point in the past. Genetic abnormalities still being present would have a basis then. They could even make the Protheans responsible for the particular turn to parthenogenesis in their attempts to mold them into the next cycle's best chance against the Reapers, to explain how it unnaturally evolved in only the past 50,000 years.

Pffft if they do they literally bang females and other asari like succubi with schlongs not giving their mates hemorrhage and killing them. I wish that was possible if they just born with that gene, I would've let Morinth live with my FemShep..........

Think of the possibilities though! It would explain a lot if they have a physical intercourse to reproduce instead asexuality or meddling.

But its space magic so melding is fine for the purposes of the story. Besides I'd rather asari stay just purely female. You know sometimes it's better to believe the tooth fairy exists rather than go for science, metaphorically speaking.

i hope that all(99%) Asari race will turn into Ardat Yakshi and extinct, and espesially i always wanted that whole Galaxy was know the truth about them and so they cant reproduce with anyone and none will give them this oportunity

I am sure that genophage must be done on Asari race cos they are dangerous much more than some primitive Krogans with Vorcha(at least they  both have some honor and moral rules and asari was never) who can defeated and die fast for various reasons

Asari is a parasites who not give anything good and replace other races with their only asari childrens who live 1000 years and do mindcontroll, mindreading and biotics, especially they love to marry wealth salarians who will soon die and they have alll what their husbands/wifes have..they can have hundreds of those moneybags

Its just 1-2 Asari on planet and for 1000 years they will consume and conquer planet with their race

Your post are always funny to read.

Speculation aside on how we get in Andromeda, I agree with Revan Reborn that it's more likely we'll see asari, turian and salarians in compared to geth and (maybe) quarians, if some species will be left behind.

Was hoping for sexy female humanoids from Andromeda that the asari with "packages" can "experiment" on them.
