I don't see anything funny. I'd see more of a pi$$ed off attitude among most fans.LOL I see I see. Personally I don't care but like DeathScepter said, it would be rather funny to see people rage or cry if the Asari didn't make it into Andromeda
Would you mind the Asari not being in Andromeda?

many fans feel entitled to their games. Well Bioware, rightly or wrongly, can do whatever they want with their games. As much as I love the silent protagonist, Bioware doesn't need to listen to me and they can do whatever type of protagonist they want. I was butt-hurt minorly in what they did with Cerberus in ME3 and Revan within the Old Republic but I gotten over it. If Bioware doesn't include the Asari in the next Mass Effect game, it is alright. For there are going to be plenty of species to have both in Andromeda and coming from Milk Way.
In short, In every single game, there are going to be pros and cons. there is no such thing a perfect game that pleases everyone.

That's true, though I guess his point was that he doesn't understand why people would be happy that other people are pissed that Bioware cut out something they like.

It wouldn't make any sense when you think about it. Unless.... There is a sexier race in Andromeda. Bow chika wow. Green aliens with 3 boobs. Calling it. LOLmany fans feel entitled to their games. Not that I think Asari are going anywhere, but if they do let them out of the game, I doubt they'd make a 'sexier' race, or that it would be needed.

I honestly don't see how the asari became more fanservice in the sequels then based on ME. The race is depicted in the same way through the trilogy.
I do agree that they didn't explore their culture (that much) and society, but the same goes for almost all the other races in ME.
I didn't say the sequels reduced them to fanservice, I said that the trilogy reduced them to fanservice. Like, look at the codex stuff on them, there's a lot of interesting aspects - a society with one gender, an absolute democracy, the oldest active species in the known galaxy, the protheans were actively guiding and molding them... There's a lot there to be interested in. But from the get-go, they've existed to be the sexy blue skinned space babes. I mean for god's sake, Liara's only conversation about the species as a society devolves almost immediately into sex practices.
The asari were reduced to fanservice by all three games, not just the successive games.

It would made more sense if they have "long face" to hunt and to mate humanoid women. But its space magic so melding is fine for the purposes of the story. Besides I'd rather asari stay just purely female. You know sometimes it's better to believe the tooth fairy exists rather than go for science, metaphorically speaking.

I know I'm getting a little off topic, but then we're all just waiting for June 12th. The Asari and Krogen always broke immersion for me a little bit when their lifespans we're brought up. I thought it was a mistake that they could live 1,000 years. I think the writers just thought it would be a cool big number without realizing the implications of a species living that much longer than almost all other species in the galaxy.
First of all, no one would ever be able to beat an Asari at anything no matter what the task. You can't have centuries to practice something and ever get beat by anyone from a race with a fraction of your lifespan. Furthermore, their perspective, their technology, their mindset would be so far ahead and so alien to shorter lived races that they wouldn't be able to function in the galactic community like they do in-game. They would be inscrutable to us and could never see us as more than impatient children. The passage of time inevitably changes you and wears on your psyche: pleasures diminish as novelty becomes impossible and frustrations & sadness repeat in an endless cycle. They would either see other races as decadent toys to be played with or be the cosmic equivalent to a mystic on a mountain peak. I always thought they should have a 200-300 year lifespan, basically triple that of most races. That would make more sense for them to be as they're presented.

That's why the purebloods should have "packages" to benefit reproduction and sexology. The most advanced race in the Milky Way couldn't breed each other safely, even with the technology they achieved, producing pureblood with genetic disorders. Other than their science/technology, why should we brought them along?

By that logic we would only bring humans, krogan and quarians along, because the asari contributed more than the rest. I think that would make the game superbly boring.

I actually like the idea of having new races/species in ME/A instead of all 'known' races returning. I wouldn't mind running in to those as the humans are there too though, they had space travel before humans, so it's likely they send people to Andromeda as well. But not as the main population of planets etc. that wouldn't make much sense tbh, it's not a parallel universe as far as i know.

No I wouldn't mind, in comparison to the other races they were on the dull side. A lot of the times they felt like carbon copies of one another, always expressing an air of arrogance, which got annoying quickly. The only ones worth ever mentioning were Aria and Samara. Everyone else basically had the personality of either Liara or Councilor Tevos.
