Outside humans and Krogans (which were practically confimed in 2014 already) I think it's the MW race with the least chance of not being in Andromeda.
Would you mind the Asari not being in Andromeda?

If the first leak was legit, Asari, Krogan, and Salarians rendered in the new engine were part of what was alleged to have been shown to the fan panel.

Like it or not, the Asari are a huge part of the Mass Effect universe. Personally, I'd prefer that they drop the whole presumption that the Species is somehow magically appealing to absolutely everyone, regardless of species/gender/orientation, because it's a little silly, but they have also contributed to some cool parts of the lore.
I like Ardat Yakshi, partly because Morinth's quest was fun.
I would mind any alien race that had previously appeared in the franchise being in Andromeda. In fact, I dread if we happen to see them again because they happened to be "recycled".
-snip-
This assumes that the move to Andromeda involves the possibility of humans leaving the other species behind. For all we know, the Asari or the Salarians might be the primary force effecting the move to Andromeda, and all the other species, including humans, are tagging along.

Don´t see the point, that ship has sailed.
Also we won´t get truly alien aliens as squadmates. Besides animation reasons, someone has to write them consistently for the whole game. And well pretty hard to do a character focussed game when the people you can talk to talk about concepts you don´t understand, do stuff you have no idea why and react in unexpected ways to stuff you do. Would look like an asylum just with more tentacles.

Yeah i really want the major council races involved in ark, so Asari should definitely be heavily represented.
I don't particularly have an issue with their cross species ability to appeal.

It's not so much their ability to appeal that I take issue with, it's the mystical aura that makes them so appealing that they compel even a mostly asexual race like Salarians to want them. I just don't think it makes a lot of sense.

Yeah i can see that. I've always assumed it was a evolved trait to attract mates.

Yeah, that's goddamn stupid. They shouldn't be sexually attractive at large to anyone but species who share similar biological triggers like humans, drell, maybe batarians, and quarians. Turians, salarians, krogan and even hanar going crazy over them outside of very isolated cases of fetishism doesn't make any sense. Assuming it even exists, pheromone trickery only goes so far, and shouldn't work at all across species anyway.

I like Samara and Aria, 2 asari with a very special design (compared to all the other asari) and great personalities.
Instead of that I'm not fond of the species itself, they never attracted me in anything.
Of course asari will be on MEA, you can't skip them (or any other race... imagine MEA without Turians, Krogan, Salarians etc... hell no).

This. I agree, sometimes I just find their attractive power ridiculous. Asari just mess up with people's mind and I dislike that.

To be honest i don't think its more of a pheromone thing but more like both. Since the Asari are so well rounded and can mate with almost any specimen i guess species over time got more drawn to the idea that it is ok to go out with an Asari. As all these different Asaris from different backgrounds and with the ability to embrace eternity built a foundation of fetishes overtime. As in Asari space you can see there's some prejudice against Asaris own race about being pure bread or not. But it may be evolution as ardat-yakshi was only born by pure breeds and may lead to the end of the Asari race. The best way to prevent this is to mate with different species in the end also improving their race with the biological information of other races/ host (i don't know how they found this out). So i guess the Goddess blessed us Asaris with Aphrodite like powers and beauty to survive. Aymen

I think people get far too touchy about things like this. Oh no, Asari are made to be attractive to the majority of the target audience, how disgraceful.
Sure straight males don't make up the entirety of the audience, so there's other races and characters too. You can argue that the attempts to create equivalents for those other minorities haven't been successful, but at least BioWare tried.
I find calling for the removal of entire race honestly rather childish. The Asari are the cornerstone of the entire political and military environment that the setting is based on; hate them or love them that's not something you can sweep under the rug.
I still say bring on more hot guys/male races in the series though. I may be straight and married but even I can appreciate the hotness of the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio or Chris Hemsworth.

Unfortunately the Asari are going to be in (BioWare's pet race, the way I see it) but no, I really, really wouldn't mind if they're were left out.

Yes I would mind. Blue is my favourite color. I love sexy blue aliens. I don't like how some say where is something to "fix" Asari are perfect sci-fi fantasy raced, don't like it don't take Asari. Game have other companions and races to pick from. If you are prude it's your problem not game. More sexy Asari please.

Writers sorta dance about that without stating psychic powers directly, probably afraid to make even more space magic when trying to give ground for previous one. Yet we have Morinth with mind control. Just let me quote skill explanation.
Brainwash an organic enemy, forcing him to attack his allies.

I don't care either way. I would rather that Bioware tried to make all races more diverse in appearance, (tall, short, fat, skinny, flat, etc.) then remove races because some people see something as "eyecandy" and sexist or ugly.

I am sorry I am racist. Blue +20 approval all other colors 0. Except if your skin shine a lot, to a point of blinding someone who looks at you, then you get -10 approval.

First remove Kaidan, Jacob, Thane and Vega they to sexy and make me feel insecure about how I look. And remove Kasumi she is sexist and objectify Jacob.
Not spoiler safe for work just big picture.

Not evolved, but designed. As I said in the OP, I believe it makes a lot of sense for the Protheans to have (re)designed the Asari to be a kind of sex toy. It would be to closest thing to a good explanation about their function in the universe.

Although I think your post is needless obnoxious, the statement that most, if not all, races in the Mass Effect universe are basically a certain stereotype of human history is not false.
Making them to be truly unique and alien would be all well and good, but there are simpler things that can bring improvements on that front. As I said, I'm currently replaying Mass Effect and another thing that called my attention (again) is a dialogue you can have with the Hanar salesman in the market district. Shepard inquires about why Hanar speaks that way and the Hanar answers something in the lines of: it's in our culture, Hanar are like that. Point is, not only it feels like a codex entry istead of a real conversation (something that happens in ME1 a lot, particularly with Tali and Liara) but it also creates a sense of a homogeneous race.
Talking about Codex entries, I also believe they have a share of guilty in what can be peceived as a problem with how the Mass Effect races are written. Want to know about the Asari? Well, they live in city states, live like this and do that kind of stuff. Turians? Well, here what they are about. And the Salarians are like medieval societies.
More than flash out the galaxy, I think they restrict imagination and possibilities. Sure enough, bombarding the player with texts is a effective way to deliver information, but also a very simple one. Maybe in Andromeda, will all its mysteries, Bioware can try something different.

If they want to bring back the Eiffel 65 squiddies, make them actually relevant to the story. I don't want their leverage to be mindsecks and hurrr durrr biotic goddesses. We all know that helped entirely when Thessia got plundered to the ground like wet tissue paper. ![]()
If you wanna bring them back with no relevant changes; have them doing 360s on the pole, fine with me.
