This is a reply to Fuenf, but I don't want to derail BSNers meet topic. And it's a great topic for discussion.

So are u a great teamplayer as long as there is a great distance between u and the nr.2, or how does it work?

Yes, I'm very picky about my Gold matches these days. Can't help it. If things are too easy peasy trivialized, I lose interest in the game. I see nothing out of the norm with this.

Sometimes it's not even this. ie. Flamer sound glitches out sometimes, so when I detect a pure Flamer spammer. ie. Only Acolyte on GT with Engineer Gear (not to mention this is a Platinum solo made easy cheese setup to begin with). No way I'm readying or sticking around for that. I play with a Turtle Beach headset, and that Flamer sound glitching out to always sound like it's me spamming Flamer non-stop for full duration (even with no enemies in sight) is enough to make my head explode into TF.

head-exploding-gif.gif

Strangely, some stuff don't bother me that much. Like yesterday me Sniping with Kishock while always having this Slayer spam that Slash move of his next to me. If I snipe, it's expected and perfectly normal to have lots of constant screen shake. aka; Working as intended TM.

And why are you so concerned all of a sudden? Were you in that match with me and Rane?

Depends on the group.

I tend to avoid Flamer in general. I'm not above Talon GI or other Infiltrators, which with my full manifest can be a bit of a roflstomp. However, I will use these kits when searching for games and when the lobby looks like it needs a carry. If the other players look good, I'll pick a kit with good synergy with the group and play that. Asari Adept, Huntress and Valkyrie? I'll trade out an infiltrator for the Justicar.

I'll only leave a lobby if I'm dropped in the wrong difficulty.

I prefer Gold to Platinum which has the unfortunate consequence of being trivialized with a good group - as such themed games tend to be best.

None based on what people play. I don't care much tbh. I usually leave if the 3 other players look too weak on paper. If there's at least one player who seem competent, then I ready up most of the time.

^ So you're opposite of me. When I see a lobby full of 3 weak players. I can't resist to see what sort of chaos will happen and will even bring less dps to better match their dps too to boot.

Ok. So my diva detection gut feel didn't let me down.
So
1) U tolerate pugs with low cp/n7 like consumable spice to offer you small variations to an otherwise predictable and meanwhile boring game
2) u are bored with cheap wannabee score/credit chasers with op loadouts
3) u despise fat cats - those with CP's , N7 beyond 2k that have not memorized all game mechanics (powers , characters, weapons, maps) and run around with sub optimal builds.

I only avoid those lobbies where 17 people are all talking loudly over some scrawny savant that seemingly sits in the middle of the highway in the party room and obviously lack the emotional intelligence to mingle with real people.

Host playing demolisher with the map set to Hydra. I know how this ends.

1) No, trying to keep new weak Gold pugs alive with weaker setups in this game is not as predictable as trivializing a Gold game or soloing.

2) For Gold, yes, I try to avoid this. That's what Platinum and soloing is for.

3) Wrong. I've yet to refuse an invite from Wouter2001.

Can't be done on PS3, unless you enjoy playing only 2 factions.

Sadly, avoiding hazard map presets is another thing needed for PS3.

Yes, I forgot to add that : I also leave "suicidal" (for my PS3) preset lobbies, like Ghost Hazard / Collectors. It's quite rare to see such lobbies but it happens.

geth
snap cheese (especially the Paladin)
lamer pugs (when the sound glitches)
multiple puggernauts (because consecutive half hour long games are irritating)
PS3 lolframe killing combos (Collector/Goddess etc.)

Eh, I'm not a fan of preset lobbies, or lobbies where everyone except me is an infiltrator.  Oh, and hacked EZ mode games.  And people who leave their mic streaming constantly.  And people with Neo-Nazi usernames.

Apart from that, go wild.  I've got more consumables than I know what to do with and a maxed manifest.  So long as players aren't actually leeching, I'm pretty relaxed.

No matter the group, it's still a challenge to try for that elusive 'perfect' match (no consumables used and 10 waves survived).  I've always had to Ops Pack or Missile thing(s) in my 10 waves survived matches.  And if I was able to end with all 6-6-6-6 remaining, we didn't get 10 waves.

If I land in a pre-set Giant Reaper I will leave many times .. snore.

Hazard Giant I will avoid more than anything. Sadly I landed in a pug match last week that was a pre set Giant Reaper. After we breezed thru it, the host readied up again on the same set up, instead of bailing I sent them a message 'Change map?' .. and they switched to UUG.

Match started and we rolled HGiant Collector . After having asked the host to switch the map, I felt obligated to stay .. sure hope they didn't think I was just score whooring with all the rockets (I used them all). Amazingly, no frames were lost and no one hard froze.

I don't care how others in lobby are equipped (short of an MG set up). Seriously if we wipe because no one helps with the escort or hack, there is always another match.

For the record I hate Ghost; it is my least favorite map, but I'll still play it if friends want or the random map lands on it.

Generally,I don't avoid anything or anyone, but noticed some guys who avoid me for some reason.Whenever I join their lobby,I get votekick or they leave instantly.

High N7 rating or fear of being outscored, who would know.

I don't mind what people play (although some kits are more annoying than others), but I will leave a Lobby if the Host won't ready up after every one else is ready. That never ends well in my experience.

I used to avoid Reegar AIU's and Reegar in general. Why? Because boring.

For Gold I generally avoid lobbies with experienced players using UR X guns or Reegars with max consumables, it's just overkill for Gold and don't really add any challenge to it. For Platinum though anything goes really as it's more of a challenge.

Never thought I'd hear someone say that. For me it's tied at #1 with Condor & Goddess.

^ for whatever reason it just doesn't suit my eye. It is easily my worst performance map in the game, the one I have the most problems guessing the spawning patterns

I do like Condor and Goddess however, despite their other problems

Since I exclusively play on a collector friendly platform, I don't have to worry about enjoyment. ;)

These days.......   melee only puggernauts   ..or puggernaut hosts with a level 3 mantis + medigel transmitter or just really stupid weapon/character combos where you know for a fact that person is going to always be on the floor...I'm looking at you level 14 Fury with a level 1 javelin + level 1 claymore backup.......I also avoid obvious headache lobby's where you know for a fact these players don't know what they are doing ...ala = double piercing mods on a level 4 kishock     ..on PS3  ...preset giant hazard, actually, preset hazard maps all together...the last one tried to assassinate my console   .....and really low level N7/ CP point hosts who are using level 6 characters with level 4-5 common weapons that ready up right away with no gear / consumables.
