Yeah I noticed this as well. People at the Fallout forums are hating Witcher for taking home GOTY and now this. I never intended to start any flame war, as a matter of fact that battle in Ker Morhen looks like a homage to Mass Effect... Which I miss alot hence the topic... Because I want Andromeda to succeed after the crap storm that ME3 generated
Actually, I was at that forum as well, but it wasn't the Fallout fans who brought it up, it was the Witcher posters glow and talk about how crappy Fallout 4 was. Even at the Game awards, it was pretty obnoxious when some guys chant "not Fallout". Personally, I have no problem with either games, people should just play what they want to play, offering suggestion how games can learn from each other is a whole lot better than just talking about how terrible this game is and how terrible that game is and how the game of their choice rulez. It'd not only get fans of other games get defensive and turn them away from the game they try to promote. In general, every game can learn from each other. I like the way the Witcher approach open world, but I also don't like the way they do combat, which in my personal opinon, the weakest part of the game. Fallout needs more in story department as well and a lot of the NPCs don't react to the progression of the quests as much as I would like and some quests feel unfinished but I like the freedom they offer in that game. Basically, it's just the way people approach the comparison. There is a difference between a fan and a fanboy.
