How'd you get the width on the face right? That's something I struggle with a lot re: elves.
Hmm, I don't know? You can't actually change the width of a face, I think; it is tied to the face shape. Maybe you are starting with a bad face shape?
What is you problem with faces, too wide or too narrow?

Sad to say, I very much dislike the CC options for Qunari, both male and female, in this game. I check out the images people post and invariably think: "Man, this looks way too human!" For some reason, males all resemble James Vega from ME3 and females are just too damn girly.
To me, DA 2 is gold standard when it comes to Qunari facial structures.

You could also try making the jaw wider, it should widen the whole face a bit
