Backstory: Curtis Adler, former Systems Alliance Marine, now one of the best mercenaries in the Milky Way. Despite his advanced age in his mid 60s, Adler is still strong, dependable and a force of personality. Renowned for his bounty hunting abilities and clean operations, Adler has significant training in Alliance tactics and weaponry, and is rumored to have been a former N7 Candidate.
His partner in crime is Hueron Syelles, a tech-savvy handler, hacking expert, and secretary. Hueron is young by Salarian standards at being only sixteen years of age, but the young hacker is world class. Known by several codenames on the extranet, Hueron gathers intel for potential job prospects for Curtis, serving as the perfect handler and liaison for the elder human when it comes to finding work.
Why you bring them along: As a team the two work well together, and considering Curtis knows his way around a fight, and Hueron can gather intelligence from afar, it just simply makes sense.

It does not sound just as hardcore as "Warmaiden". ![]()
Name: Arkus (face name) / Bringer of Light in Battle (soul name)
Race: Hanar
Gender: N/A
Class: Sentinel
Favorite Weapon: Geth Plasma Shotgun
Special Skills: Combat Drone, Throw, Tech Armor, AI Hacking
Where They Sleep: in a fish tank
Catchphrase: "Enkindle This!" / "Feel the Jellyfish Sting!"
Backstory: Arkus was born on the hanar colony on Abastra, one of the Andromeda planets where the hanar chose to build a colony. When he was around 10 years old, there was an accident involving one of the colony's mass effect power sources. Most of the colony was destroyed. A gang of Eclipse mercenaries was traveling by Abastra and saw the explosion. They went to investigate the explosion to see if there was anything salvageable. They found Arkus under some rubble, near death. The Eclipse gang's XO, an asari named Rhetia nursed him back to health and convinced the leader to keep Arkus around and teach him to be a tech/mechanic.
When he was 12 years old, Rhetia was showing Arkus some element zero containment units and one accidentally exploded. Arkus was incredibly traumatized when this happened, remembering how his family were killed. Rhetia, however was amazed because during the explosion she noticed that Arkus created a biotic shield, which protected them from the blast, saving them from certain death. She realized that he must have gotten these biotic abilities from the accident in Abastra. Afterward, Rhetia trained Arkus in biotic and tech abilities. As his tech knowledge progressed he started modifying weapons. His favorite is a Geth Plasma Shotgun he modified to make it easier for him to use.
The Eclipse sisters respect Arkus, seeing him as a little brother and are always trying to help him with his biotic and tech abilities. The Eclipse Captain, Elira, tries to treat all members of the Eclipse with the same demeanor but is sometimes harder on Arkus, which makes the rest of the Eclipse sisters try to protect him that much more. Elira agreed to help Arkus by investigating other hanar colonies that were destroyed. While investigating those colonies, he found a vid collection of an ancient hanar named Blasto. The Eclipse sisters and Arkus often watch the vids together, so much that even some asari will yell "Enkindle This!" when in combat with other mercenary bands.
Because he was raised with Eclipse mercenaries, Arkus' young mind learned to speak vulgarly just like the other mercs. He has been with them for so long that he does not feel insulted when they call him a "jellyfish" or any other insult regarding the hanar species. Arkus has a certain hatred for the Hanar Illuminated Primacy as he found out by the other mercs that the accident on Abastra was caused by improper equipment that the colony was provided by the Primacy and because other hanar colonies suffered the same fate as Abastra because of the carelessness of the Primacy. However, he still holds on to some of the teachings of the Enkindlers, but not as devoutly as most hanar.
Arkus is 22 when the PC tries to recruit him, appealing to him to help forge a better universe for all species, hanar included. At first Arkus refuses, wanting to stay with the Eclipse sisters that have protected him since the accident on Abastra. However, Elira and Rhetia convince Arkus that he can't live his whole life in a shell and he needs to explore the universe and see what life has to offer him.
Why you bring them along: Unlike most hanar, Arkus does not have a high regard for proper speech. Though still saying "This one" when referring to himself in the first person, Arkus has developed an interesting repertoire of insults in all species' native languages. He likes to think he can insult a batarian so bad as to make him cry from all 4 eyes.
