I have the PC versions of both ME1 and ME2. If I start a new game in ME2 then the import screen stays blank. I have checked the ME1 save folder and the character I want to import is there. To be sure I have also checked if I can play that ME1 character and it seems fine. My last autosave is from the final fight with Saren and the manual save is from the part where you call Joker to tell him wheather or not to save the council.
Any ideas?
The ME1 is the boxed version and the ME2 is the DDE from Steam. The saved game is in its default folder.

When I launch ME2 it isn't finding my saved games.

You have to use the Configuration Utility and tell Mass Effect 2 where you keep your saved files

This is the answer. The config utility will copy over your saves for import to the proper ME2 directories.
