Well EA/Bioware broke it, that's why I'm here. But by the looks of things this forum is useless.

Actually no.

It's a limited (Almost sold out actually ) extra-strong beer called "Son of the Morning" by one of the best breweries I've had, Driftwood. It's a 7% Golden beer with their crazy new labeling. (Proceeds to try to google the image...)

They had one of the best labels I've seen, ever, hands down, with this one...

 

Edit: Heh I dunno where I got 7% from. It's 10%. >.> <.<

The issue is because BioWare released a version 1.6 of this game. Built on 9/13/2013. It is technically the same (seems only guid changed), but it is causing different version of the game messages.

I got some files from a user with this issue and can confirm it does not work. It seems pretty crappy that BioWare doesn't fix this...

BioWare would have to fix this... But they don't even read these forums so they won't.

This issue has been cropping up more and more recently. I wonder if newly purchased games are being put onto this version.

Okay that's really helpful! So basically seems that the game is broken for some, and if it is there is no way to fix it.

 

Can also say that if my friend is hosting it gets timed out every time I try to join it in progress, this explains why nobody is joining us as we play.

 

Rather sad that one of my favourite MP games is no a unplayable mess :/

I don't know about the timing out but the different versions message is because of this build they made that has no known purpose.

Okay found a fix! Turns out my exe file was version 1.6...... where it should be 1.5...... so sent my 4th friend my exe and it works now. Incase this helps anyone my friend will be here in a min and put a link to the 1.6 exe, will try and get the 1.5 one up too.

Howdy all, I am said friend from previous post. Here's my 1.6 executable file. Here's my 1.5 executable file. 

Here's a link to a scan from Virustotal for the 1.6 file, and here's the 1.5 file's scan. 

 

More info, if you're on 1.5 and all your friends are on 1.5, you should have no problems - to check, find your MassEffect3.exe file (Mass Effect 3/Binaries/Win32/MassEffect3.exe), right click to view properties, details tab then file version. If it starts with 1.5 and your friends files do too, you're good. If one of you is on 1.6, either have everyone get the 1.6 executable or the 1.5 file. You just need to be on the same one.

You should use 1.5 because 1.5 is the one most of the world uses. Are you guys from the UK? I'm seeing this pop up for users in the UK on /r/mecoop subreddit. Good to know only the EXE needs switched. I will help spread that info.

Redistributing the executable alone is worthless without the rest of the game files. As a result, no one is going to be going after him for this.

Yea all 4 of us are from the UK, we're gonna roll back to 1.5 when we next play, just wanted to make sure we could get something working.

While you are correct with people not reading the stickies, at least WE know where to find a possible solution if the problem occurs. I believe it is possible that even veterans could be affected by this issue, if they decide to reinstall ME.

 

Having said this I second the request to ad the subject to the resource library and/or our beloved "Read this first"-sticky.

Maybe including Mgamerz' thread on his forum.

Given how non utilized this sub forum is, I doubt people are going to even read a sticky
